Il sentiero x arrivarci parte dal Romito di San Bartolomeo dove c è una antica Pieve restaurata,si percorre facilmente perché non ci sono dislivelli e si snoda alla interno del bosco Peccato che non è segnalato il punto di arrivo Noi abbiamo faticato a trovarlo perché non c è il cartello che indica la deviazione Ad un certo punto del sentiero ci si trova di fronte ad un pozzo di terra, un antico abbeveratoio x gli animali ( segnalato) è li che bisogna svoltare a destra e proseguire fino alla Rocca Li si sale un po' ma la fatica è ricompensata dallo spettacolo che ci si trova davanti quando si arriva Il tempo di percorrenza totale è di circa 30 minuti. Ci sono due sentieri, uno che parte dal romitorio di s.bartolomeo ( da vedere) un po' più lungo; l'altro, ben visibile sulla sinistra dopo un paio di km dal romitorio, arriva al castello dopo circa 15 minuti di passeggiata un po' ripida all'inizio ma fattibile. Da lassù la vista è splendida, Lucca, il mare, le apuane, Abetone e libro aperto...non si sa da che parte voltarsi ? La passeggiata per arrivare in cima è estremamente facile, nel mio gruppo c'era anche un bambino di 2 anni, si parcheggia a San Bartolomeo dov'è possibile anche fare un picnic o riposarsi all'ombra degli alberi, per poi proseguire a piedi per circa 45 minuti di passeggiata in salita.
