★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giovedì 19 Agosto verso le 17.30 sono entrato in negozio per guardare le ultime novità. Uscendo ho salutato e ringraziato il titolare, Angelo Brunetti e la sua risposta è stata :"Ciao, grazie, tanto sono anni che entri e non compri mai niente". Nel momento ci sono rimasto molto male e le prime mie parole sono state di negazione. Perchè seppur capiti più spesso di entrare e osservare, mi è successo più di una volta di acquistare. E in ogni caso credo di non dovermi giustificare. Ho poi continuato dicendogli che questo non è il modo di rivolgersi e che anzi è il modo per allontanare clienti. Di tutta risposta mi ha detto "Infatti spero non torni più". Me ne sono andato molto amareggiato. Ovviamente non tornerò più nè io nè le persone a me vicine. Un comportamento decisamente maleducato e arrogante.
On Thursday 19th August around 5.30 pm I went into the shop to look at the latest news. As I left, I greeted and thanked the owner, Angelo Brunetti, and his response was: "Hello, thank you, you have been in for years and never buy anything". At the moment I was very upset and my first words were in denial. Because although it happens more often to enter and observe, it has happened to me more than once to buy. And in any case, I think I don't have to justify myself. I then went on to tell him that this is not the way to contact and that it is the way to turn away customers. In response, he told me "In fact, I hope you won't come back". I left very bitter. Obviously, neither I nor the people close to me will come back anymore. Definitely rude and arrogant behavior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Store Mondadori in via Roma, naturalmente ha un ampia scelta di libri di tutti i generi letterari, ho scelto Isabelle Allende "Violeta" uno dei bestseller attuali. Personale estramamente professionale e competente ed cortese.... Naturalmente tutto nel rispetto delle attuali restrizioni Covid-19.
Store Mondadori in via Roma, naturally has a wide selection of books of all literary genres, I chose Isabelle Allende "Violeta" one of the current bestsellers. Extremely professional, competent and courteous staff .... Of course, all in compliance with current Covid-19 restrictions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was so excited when I saw this bookshop and we crossed the road to go explore. As a self confessed bibliophile and avid reader who can't go into a bookshop for 1 without coming out with 3, as someone who refuses to use Amazon preferring to buy from bricks and mortar local shops instead, and who has spent the last 18 months setting up a community library here in Siena, I don't write this review lightly. We entered, browsed, and my partner couldn't see the author he was looking for. So he asked how the shop was organised to help him look. Like many Italian bookstores, the fiction is organised by publisher not by author. So he asked if they had anything by the author and the bookseller not having heard of him, looked it up and said 'no'. All fine til this point. My parter then continued, although in Italian, 'Out of interest are the books organised by publisher because the publishers prefer this...' at which point he was told to 'F-OFF' , my partner responded somewhat apologetically that he'd 'only asked a question', and the bookseller stormed out of the shop and down to the bar further down the street. We were both left a bit shell shocked by this and I probably wouldn't have left a negative review, but it seems we are not alone in being on the end of this type of treatment in this shop.
