★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Santa Chiara di Sulmona venne fondata tra il 1260 e il 1269 insieme ad un monastero delle clarisse. Nel convento adiacente alla chiesa barocca di Santa Chiara, ricco di un pregevole ciclo pittorico del 1300, è allestito il polo museale che ospita la Pinacoteca comunale di arte moderna e contemporanea, ed il Museo Diocesano che raccoglie arredi sacri, croci processionali, statue lignee policrome provenienti dalle chiese della Diocesi. L'ho solo visti esternamente perché, purtroppo, erano chiusi sia la chiesa e sia la Pinacoteca e il Museo Diocesano.
 The church of Santa Chiara di Sulmona was founded between 1260 and 1269 together with a monastery of the Poor Clares. In the convent adjacent to the baroque church of Santa Chiara, rich in a valuable pictorial cycle of the 1300s, the museum complex is set up which houses the municipal art gallery of modern and contemporary art, and the Diocesan Museum which collects sacred furnishings, processional crosses, polychrome wooden statues coming from the churches of the Diocese. I only saw it externally because, unfortunately, both the church and both the Pinacoteca and the Diocesan Museum were closed.
