S	Silvio Chiavetta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottimo paesino affacciato sul mare..abbastanza tranquillo anche se d'inverno è poco abitato..d'estate c'è più gente in giro anche se lo svuotamento per mancanza di lavoro è molto tangibile..soprattutto con le attività commerciali che chiudono. Consiglio la visita Excellent village overlooking the sea .. quite quiet even if in winter it is sparsely populated .. in summer there are more people around even if the emptying due to lack of work is very tangible .. especially with the commercial activities that close. La spiaggia è sabbiosa fornita di parcheggi pubblici. Il paese di Corsia e situato in collina a pichi chilometri da Mirto. Da visitare. Il Comune, che è un paesino le cui origini risalgono al 1315 a.C., è un piccolo borgo storico collinare che dista dalla costa e da Mirto circa 8 km. Da lassù la vista è meravigliosa, e quando il tempo lo consente permette di avere un punto di osservazione molto suggestivo verso l'intero Golfo di Taranto. Attrattive principali, oltre al centro storico e alla chiesa della Pietà, sono la frazione di Mirto con il suo bel lungomare ed il suo castello (purtroppo visitabile solo da fuori), o, nella frazione di Fiumarella, la antica Torre Santa Tecla. Periodo consigliato: agosto. Luoghi di interesse vicini: le più grandi e strutturate Rossano (fabbrica della liquirizia Amarelli, monumenti e chiese bizantine nella Rossano superiore, lungomare etc.) e Corigliano (ancor più grande di Rossano), verso nord, così come Sibari con il suo porto, la zona Laghi ed il parco archeologico; verso sud i più piccoli paesi di Calopezzati, Pietrapaola, Mandatoriccio e Cariati (col suo porticciolo e il suo suggestivo centro storico). Mirto is a fraction of the smaller Municipality of Crosia, which together form a town located in the upper Ionian coast of Cosenza. The Municipality, which is a village whose origins date back to 1315 BC, is a small historic hilltop village that is about 8 km from the coast and from Mirto. From up there the view is wonderful, and when the weather permits it allows you to have a very suggestive observation point towards the entire Gulf of Taranto.
