★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful camping site. A challenge to navigate the road to arrive, but totally worth it. Jan is a wonderful host. She immediately offered us coffee and shelter (we arrived during a heavy thunderstorm.) We found a beautiful place for our 2 tents. Soft ground. Clean facilities. Great breakfast. We enjoyed walking down to the slow camp. Very happy to have found this campsite. We'll definitely return. Thank you Jan for your kindness. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a relaxing time at Rocca di Sotto. The camping ground is perfect for a nice vacation in the mountains. Willeke & Jan created a unique stress-free zone. The roughly 20 camping spots are situated between old olive trees and spacious enough to provide privacy. They've got it all: the panoramic view over the valley, a vegetable garden for the guests, a bar with homemade limoncello and other specialties (oil, pesto, pasta, meat), a small stream on the premises you can take a short hike to, the greatest outdoor showers ever and clean facilities, fridges for the guests and fresh eggs. Steep hills are implied when staying in the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great campsite with wonderful hosts, breathtaking views and large secluded spots. The restaurant in the village (at the top of the campsite) is cheap and has great food. The road to the campsite is doable but do be warned if you have a trailer or camper as the road is not cut out for those. The owners can help you with their 4x4 if you'd like. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. You can order bread and local product's (made by the owners themselves) don't go to this campsite if you want an all inclusive resorts, but if you love quiet, nature and a little adventure you will feel right at home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend and I stayed at the Wild Camp, desperately needing the pure solitude of nature. This place was absolutely perfect! Please Note - The Wild Camp very much like camping in the wild. If you don't have experience with backwoods camping, make sure you've done your research and spoken with experienced individuals on what to bring and how to prepare. The site only provides a fire ring, picnic table, fire wood, and running water for cleaning and a shower. For everything else, you have to pack in/out yourself down a steep mountain road. Once you get to the site, you are completely alone with nature and your thoughts. It's the perfect escape for those who know how to live with the Earth and need some time to completely disconnect.
The farm itself is absolutely lovely! A pick-it-yourself garden provides squash, tomatoes, green onion, lettuce, beans, cucumber, peppers, and other delicious treats for your meals. At the main camp, there are plenty of amenities to wash, relax, and connect to the internet. Willeke was a gracious and courteous host, full of kindness and a real interest in making sure we enjoyed our stay. If you're looking to set up a tent and enjoy nature without too much effort, the main camp is the site for you! Even if you're in the Wild Camp, these amenities are a just a hike away.
We had a truly great experience here, and will be back many more times again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderfull slow camping spot with friendly owners. We stayed three nights and wished we could stay longer. The camping is well equipped and well maintained. It's a perfect spot for people who are looking for a place to enjoy the quietness of nature.
People who love biking can challenge themselves by biking to the top of Gran Sasso. Hikers will love the mountains of the Apennines. We will definitely come a second time :D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most beautiful place in Italy (and I'm Italian!). Whether you just want to find peace, nature, nice people, travellers, or just inspiration, you can't miss a trip here. Undoubtedly, the road in is for adventurers, and a little bumpy. But, once you are there, you know why you have travelled so far. The mountains, especially in autumn, are stunning. Jan and Willeke, the owners, are the most beautiful, inspiring people in the world. Luna the dog will bark, but it's all scene - she's lovely, as for any other of their dogs. We loved being there and we can't wait to go back. We would recommend it to anybody!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful camp site with a lot of space and a great view! The bathrooms were always clean. There are communal refrigerators to use and a vegetable garden to pick from for a donation. You can also purchase good original vine for a small price! Would highly recommend this place.
Just keep in mind: it’s a very steep street (about 500m) going there
