My husband and I and another couple booked a 7-hour private tour of the Borromean Islands with Micaela recently. We loved the tour – Visiting Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori, and Isola Bella and seeing the botanical gardens, the quaint fishing village, and the palace and its beautiful gardens. It was a great tour for us because Michaela is such a personable and knowledgeable guide! We learned so much from Micaela about the history, art, and architecture of the islands. In addition, Micaela is very knowledgeable about the trees, plants, and flowers on the island – we were very impressed! We enjoyed having Micaela join us for lunch. She is so friendly and conversational, and we were able to learn more about Lake Maggiore and life in the area in general.
Having a private guide is well worth it, and we were so happy that Micaela had mentioned that we could pay a little more and take a private boat from island to island. It’s also very nice to be able to skip the lines with a private guide.
When booking the tour, Micaela was very responsive and answered all my questions. She is one of the best private guides we’ve had! When we asked, she also offered suggestions of other places to visits and restaurants we might enjoy.
I highly recommend Micaela – you will have a wonderful tour and learn so much!!
