★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A large square for the local district market. Though it is still to restore, it was interesting to know that in Trastevere there was a dedicated hospital for women and children. I was impressed by the fountain with water running over the surface of a mosaic to make it shiny and cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The SanCosimato market place is the local fruit and Veg market for this Trastevere area. Stall holders some also horticulturists who grow some of their own fruit and Veggies that are for sale. One of the only spaces that children can play outside, is also shared by this piazza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic park for the kids. Can get super busy on the weekends and in the evenings. The old large toys all around the park gives an extra layer for the kids to have fun. Just be aware that around the park can ger dirty and sometimes sellers try to come in and get in your face

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's small but clean. I don't smell the bad smells mentioned by one other. Good for buying fruits after your morning coffee at one of the many nearby cafes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice size traditional market in heart of Trastevere. We shopped there everyday while we stayed in Trastevere for a week. We loved it. Not touristy, helpful and friendly vendors. Price is 2/3 price of Compo de Fiori market. 5-6 fruit and vegetable stands, one cheese shop, one butcher shop, one used book shop and two fish markets. The fish markets only opened Tus and Wed while I was there. We loved to shop there. Very fresh produce, veggie, fruit, olive, egg and porcini mushroom. We got bread and pastry from le Laiven bakery and fresh made pasta from shop next to the bakery just off of the market, we got every things we need. Open every day from 6:30-2pm except Sunday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time being at an Italian outside market. I give this five stars because I've only seen the zucchini blossoms like this back in Mexico. And the fruit was soooooo good. My least favorite fruit is strawberry, and man, this one was not just sweet and sour, it was juicy and tender. I wish I lived nearby, just so I could come here and buy my daily groceries for dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t even bother unless you’re born and bred in Trastevere, as they can tell your accent. The produce is decent but the two guys (if you’re walking in from the TIM end of the piazza, please see my attached photo, they are marked RED) charged over €8 for a cauliflower and two avocados, and they give you a receipt with the total written out in every part of it (instead of itemised). It’s this kind of behaviour that makes us go to the supermarket close by and pay half the price (normal price). This is the second chance we’ve given them. Ripped off both times. Disappointing
