★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a gem, a hidden gem. When you've found the spot, then you have a lot to admire.
So much historiy, family tradition and craftsmanship crammed in a tiny space.
I love to walk up to the window where Mario works and have a little chat and then let him continue doing his art.
An umbrella by Talarico is pure joy and a wonderful gift.
I've bought the juniper one with navy fabric. A true timeless beauty. One day, a very stylish, well dressed man walked up to the atelier and chose the very same model. It looked as if he was choosing it for GQ Japan. (he actually did used it for a shoot but I don't remember for which exactly).
On a different occasion, we bought another timeless classic piece. It was made of beautiful and elegant yellow fabric for ladies. A joy to use in grey weather.
I highly recommend to support this business. Handmade things cost more, yes, but you get more and you will keep it longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice small and family-run store in the centre of Naples. As it is raining a lot in Northern Germany, umbrellas normally belong to our daily equipment.
In case you would like to possess something unique, visit Mario's store (quite an entertaining and outgoing person) and ask for his handmade individual items ... or if you like, bring your own designs and let him transfer it into an umbrella.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mario Talarico umbrella shop was recommended to me by a local Neapolitan tour guide and archaeologist. Her beautiful parasol led us through the streets of Naples on a wonderful excursion and discovery of the city and surrounding area. I later went to Talarico shop to purchase a cotton handmade parasol. It’s a beautifully crafted turquoise accessory. I cherish it from my souvenirs of this Italian tour In 2019.
Mario is an exceptional umbrella maker and businessman! Five generations in this location.
Highly recommend!

Handcrafted by Mario in his historical shop with a huge selection of umbrellas of various costs, from very affordable to be used on a daily basis, to some made with rare or vintage materials. Superb quality and very nice and helpful staff. A must-visit in Naples.
