Nice hotel. In the center of a city,nearby is main city beach. City center means that problem with a car parking (if you have car of course). Hotel itself OK, for basic needs enough, nothing superb. Staff is friendly, breakfast very basic,some toasts and sausage, little cheese, coffe is great (it's Italy ?). For my surprise there are good internet connection (wi-fi), so,no problems with even watching videos. Air conditioning works perfect! Reccomend by myself.

We spent a night in Mare Nostrum after bicycling to Pozzallo. It was a very pleasant, clean and nice small hotel. The service was fantastic. If you go to Pozzallo, this is a great choice. Thanks Kim and Anita, - Denmark.

Brilliant little hotel. I love it. The only reason I did not give 5* is that there is no private carpark and I'm always a little worried about my far-too-flashy car during the night! Nothing has ever happened to it, let me add, so my fears are groundless.... The staff of the hotel are wonderfully welcoming and speak perfect English. Stop here before taking the catamaran to Malta, as I do - it's 5 minutes from the Virtu Ferry port :)

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights this July and can't fault anything tbh.The owner, Mr. Caruso, is a great chap and we'll go out of his way to make you feel at home and he speaks very good English as well if Italian is not your forte! All the staff was friendly and helpful especially the lady that welcomed us the first day. Sorry, forgot the name! Parking was not an issue, for us at least, since we always found a spot round the corner. Highly recommended and 5 mins walking distance from the center and seaside.

I assume it does not deserve to be called a hotel, the definition "rooms" would be proper. The rooms are very old fashioned and urgent needed to be renewed. The sanification is carried out by chlorine and it is very ugly smell in the rooms. The breakfast is very poor. Little portions are given by the owner personally. If you I knew before about the poor condition of these rooms I would have never stayed here. We had a terrible night in the filthy room and could not open windows because of the busy noisy street. The price is totally exaggerated. I would not take this room even for free. It is incredible how greedy the owner is. One can feel only a pity for him. He does invest nothing in these rooms. It is obviously that he accommodates guests who do not value the real hotel quality and stay just for one night. I hope that someone who reads these lines is warned about these rooms and does not make a mistake that we made. The night was a real nightmare and I had a headache from chlorine. The towels were very old. It is incredible how greedy the owner is. In general we advise not to stay in Pozzallo and try to find any good hotel in Ortigia ( Siracusa). I am not interested in any comments from the owner. The only proper reaction could be - Please, excuse me. I accept that I demand exaggerated prices for nothing. The right price for the room is 0. God forgive me for my greediness.
