The most amazing and β€œreal” Chinese restaurant in Milan. I lived in China for several years and when I crave for real Chinese food this is the place I go. The restaurant is not huge and therefore it is difficult to book a table for dinner.

I'm pretty sure that Maoji is partnered with Mao Hunan very close by, which is good because both restaurants have amazing quality of food. We took the Pancetta do Mao which is almost exactly like that at Mao Hunan, and a beef Bao bun. The service was great and friendly and the atmosphere was also very relaxed (nicer than hunan as there's more space inside)

Best street food Chinese place in Milano. Very good food (also quality wise), affordable prices and super cute location. Perfect also for take-out.

A good mix of tradition and modernity. It's one of my favourite Chinese restaurants since I love spicy food and enjoy a great atmosphere. The place feels youthful, often a bit crowded and the service is a bit rough, but the dishes are so good I always come back.

The food is mediocre at best. Ordered a wonton soup with shrimps, sweet & sour pork ribs and duck dumplings. For a total of 24€ you can get better authentic Chinese food in Milan. I don't mean the usual 'riso cantonese', 'pollo alle mandorle', etc. You can find truly nice stuff around. Either way, the wonton was the best dish for me. Big portion, with an abundant filling of shrimps. The sour and sweet ribs were ok. Just not bad, not delicious either. On the other hand, the dumplings were a let down. Ginger/spicy is the main profile taste, you basically cannot taste anything else other than that. Overall, an average place for Chinese food. Note: I've ordered take away, so the review does not take into account atmosphere/interior & service.

Delicious and spicy. One of my favorite spots for a quick dinner. Definitely not a place to go to if you’re looking for a combination between relaxation and eating as it’s basically always crowded and the chances that you’ll end up eating just inches away from the couple next to you is pretty high. Also most definitely not a place to bring your small children to. Yum!

The personnel is very kind, the furniture and interiors are very peculiar, and the food is abundant and affordable and - of course - delicious. You can also bring back home what you could not finish. Beware: when they say it’s really spicy, it is REALLY spicy ?
