One worst hotels I visited in the last 6-7 years. First: they are more like One-Star Inferior and far far away from 4 Star Superior. Rooms: dirty and worn down, splatters of dirt all around. Rooms are more like in a hospital, no decoration - nothing. The pool next to the room is a place to breed bacteria. The last cleaning must have been several years ago. Emplyoess: Just unfriendly and I think they are annoied by there own hotel. Breakfast: Disgusting, awful and minimal. They get nothing right: eggs from the freezer, cheezes from the freezer, grey ham. Awful. Dinner: Expensive and a new kind of cheapness.Cheap pasta with cheap everything combined by a person that pretends to be a cook. Spa: we didnβ€˜t try it as the smell of okd fish grew stronger the closer we came to the spa. Entertainment: expect parties for locals with loud animation. As the rooms are not protected against noise the concept of the staff is: get over it. Overall: avoid this place. It is more like a fraud. Avoid the people in there.

Not a real Palace... We booked a room here at the very beginning of the summer season (in March) and found the place rather rusty: rusty water came out of the water taps, the whirlpool on the balcony did not work properly (we called the reception at least three times to fix it), the breakfast was the worst ever: considering that in Sicily you can get a nice 'cornetto' with a coffee or an 'iris' with a cappuccino for less than 2 euro, having horrible cakes with out-of date whipped cream was a real nightmare. Even the biscuits (Sicily is famous for its almond cookies) were inedible! The dinner was slightly better. Simple menu, but properly taken care of the details. Not so much the guests' well-being: the first night, we had an 18th birthday party under our window. Considering that we escaped Palermo because we have a new live-music pub below us, this was really sarcastic from life. I complained, they were sorry, but unable to help. The second day, I went to their spa: my 40th birthday, this was the moment I expected the most. Well, this was the first wellness centre where I suffered the cold. They invented a new type of massage, although I asked for the hot-stone massage: this pushy, squishy massage had nothing to do with my starving of relaxation. I asked for a simple manicure and pedicure and got a shock at check-out, since I was given 'a special treatment': gel manicure and pedicure for an extra price. All this to end up in an overcrowded little space with a sauna, ice-shower and two mini pools for the feet and icy shower. Guys, I was freezing after 10 minutes and left the place with relief... I had a nice weekend for my 40th birthday, but the most beautiful moments were outside this hotel, though. Way below international levels...

The hotel itself is relatively new however, there are many points to consider when booking this hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere really and at the end of the season there is almost nothing going on. The outside pool is in the shade after 3pm also it is roadside which delivers awful acoustics when heavy traffic is around not to mention the fumes. Regardless of what anyone tells you there is NO sandy beaches along the east coast, the nearest one being south east of Syracuse which means everyone needs to buy the rubber beach shoes to avoid painful foot injuries. The breakfast at this hotel is, apart from the various pastries, almost inedible. The scrambled eggs are, if I am not mistaken, made from egg powder and are completely runny and smell awful as is the various bacon, ham and meats and cheeses on offer, Tea and toast is all we would recommend. Outside parking is pot luck and sometimes may lead to a long, long walk. There are almost no shops anywhere close and restaurants are also somewhat distant. Sorry to be so negative, but you guys need to know the truth before you come here and regret it. Cheers

The very small pool has no sun. Terrible customer service. The pictures are completely different from the actual hotel. Very busy and noisy road in front of the β€˜sea view room’. If you open the window, you’ll be deafened by the noise. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE

Location is great, rooms are clean. You may want to think twice before asking anything from the front desk staff. They do not show any enthusiasm at all when you ask for assistance. One question, one answer. It's as if it's your fault they are working there. I'd say 80% of the staff here ( front desk, breakfast room, chambermaids ) are like that. Michele at the front desk is one of the few associates who are more than willing to meet your needs. "A 18" restaurant is a 5-minute walk ( please see my review for that place ). Guests, have discounted tariffs ( €5.00 p.p.) if you want to go to a private beach within 100 meters from the hotel. Bus stops to both Taormina and Messina are conveniently just in front of the hotel.

It's placed in an area with ugly beaches. If you don't book parking spot when you do the booking you will not find a place at the location and you will have to park outside on the street if you are lucky to find a place. Breakfast is the worst I've ever seen...just croissants, cheap pies, some fruits and scambled eggs. No vegetables, no cold meats... Rooms are clean, but if you book a room with view at the city you will have the worst view.

Nice walk along the beach, great little food & drink bar at the corner outside the hotel which made our stay in main palace a little better. The service of the little food & drink bar outside the hotel was outstanding. Espresso was very good and they are very friendly. Unfortunately they don’t exists yet on google otherwise I would leave this comment there. Main Palace: Now lets start what they can improve in main palace. To begin with, it is a 4 star hotel. We’ve booked with the intention to swim also in the swimming pool when we wanted. On booking the swimming pool was closed until 3 July. That changed already to 11 July. We’ve stayed here from 9th of July until 14 July (we left 1 day earlier then planned). The staff are not so friendly. Our room was not that clean (walking barefoot in your room gives you black feet). So they can improve their planning, the cleaning and their friendliness. When we asked about something (f.e. Swimming pool) there was not much room for improvement, compensation or any other thing. We hope they will listen to the feedback more people gave.

Not bad, but not worth the money in my opinion. The breakfast was standard industrial fare, and one can tell the hotel has seen better days. The best thing about it was the mattress, so a plus point for that
