Difficile elencare tutti i pregi di questa vacanza; dico solo che svegliarsi ogni mattina in un porto diverso, con una splendida nuova avventura ad aspettarti, non ha paragoni! Lo skipper che ci ha portati a spasso per mare è stato un ottimo compagno di viaggio, molto preparato e disponibile, anche ad accontentare qualche "capriccio" ;-) Quest'anno abbiamo navigato tra le meravigliose calette dell'Isola d'Elba, per il prossimo abbiamo già opzionato il catamarano per una vacanza in Sardegna. Certo, non è un corso che insegna tutti i segreti della navigazione a vela, ma insegna esattamente a governare un catamarano e a saper risolvere in tempo reale tutti gli inconvenienti che possono capitare durante la navigazione. In pratica è un corso specifico rivolto a chi vuole fare questo lavoro, che si spinge anche ad una sorta di formazione legata a come "trattare" il cliente e a come cercare di rendere la sua vacanza indimenticabile. Inoltre, se si dimostra di avere passione e di essere adeguati a questa professione, MadMax offre possibilità di impiego direttamente nella sua flotta, che ad oggi conta 15 catamarani sparsi per il mediterraneo. Per quanto mi riguarda è stata un'esperienza formativa oltre che divertente, e mi ha aperto le porte di questa bellissima professione. Sia Lucas che Andrea portano avanti la formazione in maniera molto seria ed appassionata, devo dire anche che ho avuto la fortuna di essere in un gruppo di partecipanti molto affiatati con cui ho condiviso un percorso formativo fondamentale per che si vuole avvicinare decisamente a questo mondo. Lo consiglio a chiunque voglia anche solo fare una vacanza in barca in sicurezza e tranquillità. Volevo acquisire nuove conoscenze per vivere il mare in modi e metodi differenti. Premetto che provengo da una Scuola di Vela dove faccio corsi di vela, regate, veleggiate, ecc.. ecc.. Detto questo… devo dire che il corso mi è piaciuto molto e mi ha arricchito di informazioni più di quello che mi aspettassi, sia nella teoria che nella pratica. Gli argomenti trattati sono stati tutti molto approfonditi, dalle manovre d’ormeggio a quelle di ancoraggio (con varie ancore), dalla manutenzione del motore a quella dei bagni, dalla riparazione dell’impianto elettrico a quella delle falle, dalla gestione dei clienti alla scelta delle baie. Questo corso lo consiglio sicuramente a chi vuole apprendere umilmente gli insegnamenti di Lucas ed Andrea che di esperienza e professionalità ne hanno tanta. ...e per chi volesse fare lo Skipper MadMax, se viene promosso vi assicuro che la proposta vi verrà fatta. Durante questo percorso formativo verranno toccati svariati argomenti estremamente importanti e sfatati miti che spesso vengono presi per validi da molte persone che vanno per mare. Ho avuto la fortuna, nei 20 giorni passati sul McLeod, di incontrare una compagnia incredibile che ha contornato il tutto e ha reso questa avventura indimenticabile. Consiglio Madmax a chiunque voglia imparare delle regole applicabili, non solo al catamarano, ma alla vela e alla vita e a chi di esperienza in barca, come me, ancora ne ha poca.
