LEONE è una persona molto gentile ed educata , il posto rispecchia proprio il cuore pulsante di Catania e del così detto arrusti e mangia dove la genuinità si incontra con il folclore caratteristico della zona e della via plebiscito . Consiglio una visitina per apprezzare la bontà delle sue polpette di carne di cavallo, la bontà della sua carne e l'amore che mette nell'esercitare la sua professione. Spero solo che un giorno il figlio riesca a far meglio del padre . Then: characteristic butcher from Catania, the sign. LEONE is a very kind and polite person, the place reflects the beating heart of Catania and of the so-called arrusti and eats where authenticity meets the characteristic folklore of the area and the plebiscite street. Ma non chiedete lussi, street food come da tradizione in via plebiscito, panino, mani, tavola sul marciapiedi. Excellent horse meat, especially excellent meatballs. The owners are really nice making you feel like a Catania DOC. But don't ask for luxuries, street food as usual in via plebiscito, sandwich, hands, table on the sidewalk.

Invece, i gestori di rosticcerie che operano nei dintorni sono esseri davvero INFAMI! Da veri cafoni tentano di sottrarsi clienti tra loro, con veri e propri adescamenti... squallidi! Very friendly people, we ate very well, not only horse meat but also other ... really good people! Instead, the rotisserie managers operating in the surrounding area are truly INFAMOUS beings! Like real peasants they try to steal customers from each other, with real enticements ... squalid!

Ci sono piaciute molto le polpette e la carne di cavallo, così come la cipollata, un po' meno le salsicce (tocchi di grasso troppo grandi per i nostri gusti). Prezzi bassi, ma sicuramente non è un posto molto raffinato. Among the various butchers who cook meat in the street in via Plebiscito we only tried this one so I don't know how to make comparisons. We loved the meatballs and horse meat, as well as the onion, a little less the sausages (touches of fat too big for our taste). Low prices, but definitely not a very refined place.
