★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you’re looking for a wow-spot, dine at Locanda Sandi. Of course, the food is spectacular – the risotto plays favourably in my memory. But it’s the enchanting gardens, lit with candles, the ivy covered building and meandering pathways that will win your heart long before you’ve had a chance to treat your stomach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly and competent waiters. Delicious food and wine! We had a nice Prosecco with the antipasto (Lumache) and the first dish (pasta with fish - no picture) and a very nice red called Filio with the main dish (Filetto).
Location is great as well. A villa in the middle of the green. We plan to come back and also to visit the winery.

After we had received a reservation and confirmation via a well-known booking platform, we arrived last week. Unfortunately, the Locanda was no longer occupied and our ringing was not heard. In the kitchen I then found three young guys. We were neither greeted nor welcomed. On my reference we had booked a room was answered with "impossible". The young man has then turned on his computer after some time and also found my booking. With the indication he was "overbooked" and that was a mistake of the platform, we stood there in the evening without a room. The point is not that a mistake happens. It's about how you deal with it! An apology would have been the least. In addition, the "host" should have tried to find a room for us and mediate.
Unfortunately, the young man preferred to talk to a colleague from Villa Sandi. We then left without being seen off. This cannot and must not happen to a house with this name. An absolute impertinence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicous food reasonably priced as well! Great atmosphere! Also eating at the resturant gives a discount to purchases made at their winery. I had the pumpkin with truffle ravioli, a delicious cod tempura appetitizer and a collection of assorted frozen fruit sherbert!
