★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se passate da magnano dovete fermarvi alla locanda del Borgo Antico a mangiare, vista da fuori non dice molto, ma si mangia benissimo e si spende poco, la gentilezza è inclusa nel prezzo. Ho mangiato tomini locali con miele come antipasto, ravioli al ragù di cinghiale, lonza in salsa con agretti, tutto ottimo, spesa sui 30 euro. Da tornarci.
 If you pass as a magnano you have to stop at the Borgo Antico inn to eat, seen from the outside it doesn't say much, but you eat well and spend little, kindness is included in the price. I ate local tomini with honey as an appetizer, ravioli with wild boar sauce, loin in a sauce with agretti, all excellent, costing about 30 euros. To go back.

Personale disponibile e molto simpatico.
Ottimo cibo con il menù del pellegrino comunque abbondante.
Le camere erano pulite e con tutti i confort necessari.
I stayed at the inn on the way to Oropa.
Helpful and very nice staff.
Excellent food with the pilgrim's menu however plentiful.
The rooms were clean and with all the necessary comforts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Borgo Antico is a little gem of a restaurant that looks out onto a pretty square in the attractive town of Magnano, in the foothills of the Italian alps. Elisa works in the kitchen and Stefano serves the dishes. They provide no-nonsense home cooking in a cosy room up a flight of stone stairs, directly above the bar. I had a Russian salad as a starter, followed by a large plate of rough cut gnocchi with a meat sauce. Next was a grilled trout, washed down by Ruchè a splendid but little-known Piedmontese wine. Our Italian hosts, Antonia and Carlo, my wife Paloma and I all rounded off the meal with a generous portion of blueberry cake. Service was efficient and very friendly . Highly recommended.
