★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seeing the excellent reviews here on google, I was really exited to visit the Leica store here in Rome; and look at purchasing the new Leica Q2. Upon entering, there was an employee having a conversation with what looked to be a friend. I was not greeted, or even acknowledged as I browsed the store. After around 5 minutes(while still in a random conversation with his friend), the employee finally comes up to me, and asks if we need anything. I asked him about he Q2, and he just shrugged, got one, placed it on the table, and looked at me. Didn’t explain the features, didn’t offer me to pick it up and check it out, just stared. At that point, I was simply over it. Why spend $5,000 at a place that treats me this way? I believe he treated me this way as he thought I didn’t have evough money to buy one as I’m in my 20’s (I can afford it). Don’t judge anyone by their looks; you never know who has money. Just lost a customer for a good while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was promptly greeted by an Italian staff member. He was polite and pointed out stuff in the store even though it seemed like he was in a meeting.
After browsing around I asked another staff member if they had any copies of a book I had found on a table for sale. He was somewhat rude and dismissive and mentioned that the book on display was donated by the exhibited artist. He was at the front desk on his phone and spoke unaccented English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptionally poor service. Did not have the part I needed, and could not state when it was expected. I wanted to browse the used lenses, but the staff made me so uncomfortable I just left. You're better off shopping online, or finding another Leica shop, than going here.
