T	Ted Littledale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First off, you should definitely visit this restaurant, secondly you should visit at the start of your holiday to make sure you have a chance to eat here more than once. Trust me, one dinner is not enough here. So explain why here's a non-conclusive list of things that are great about Le Lumie, 1. The view. Sitting high about Marsala, the views over the city and Mediterranean beyond are breathtaking 2. The bread. I'm a bread addict and so was particularly taken by the warm from the oven homemade bread rolls that accompany the meal. The foccacia is also the best I've had, salty perfection 3. The fresh ingredients. All the fruit and veg is grown in their own gardens and you can tell. Even the simplest ingredients burst with flavour, the white peach was indescribably good. 4. The seafood. This is a seafood after all and every dish I had was, to use a west country phrase, absolutely lush 5. The Marsala. They have a selection of different vintages of the local specialty fortified wine. The 1981 I tried was capped off the meal perfectly. Buon appetito!

There was a strong difference in quality between courses. Maybe you will be lucky enough to order only good ones, but we had 4 excellent, 1 okay, and 3 bad dishes. 2 of these were bad enough to send them back. They still put them on the bill though. Considering the high pricing that's not good enough in terms of quality or service.
L	Letitia Binns on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a table for 2 on the balcony, watching the sun set, it was truly beautiful. The food was good but don't ask the waiter for recommendations, it gets lost in translation. I personally wanted a cocktail befor food but they only had wine and beer to offer.

My review's all about the recommendations from the waiter. He must have known that the veal had a little salad of tomatoes with it and so to recommend a further side salad of tomatoes was quite rubbish. Just veal (nice) with around 500g of undressed, halved cherry tomatoes arrived for my wife. Not what you'd call culinary excellence. I'm sure there are other places that offer an all-you-can-eat tomato fest

Emanuele uses fresh local produce with innovative twists on traditional recipes. The tasting menus are well worth the trip but be prepared, they are filling. A great wine list featuring many local producers as well as bigger names, discreet service and incredible views make this a great option for lunch or an early Aperitif and Supper to enjoy the Sun set over the Stagnone di Marsala.
