★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo un tour in moto sono rientrato in Italia attraverso il passo dello Spluga e i riflessi del sole sul lago che ho fiancheggiato lo rendevano ancora più bello. Del resto non poteva essere altrimenti considerata la magnificità dell'intera zona.
 After a motorcycle tour I returned to Italy through the Spluga pass and the reflections of the sun on the lake that I flanked made it even more beautiful. After all, the magnificence of the entire area could not be considered otherwise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toller Ort für eine Pause oder als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Hochgebirge.
Nach nicht ganz 2 Stunden sind wir vom Comer See kommen hier oben angekommen. Auf ca. 1900m Höhe biete sich ein toller Blick auf die Alpengipfel und den klaren Stausee. Leider darf man die Staumauer nicht betreten.
Wenn man über die Passstraßen zwischen Italien und der Schweiz unterwegs ist, lohnt hier auf jeden Fall eine Pause. Oder man wählt den Punkt einfach als Ziel für einen Tagesausflug vom Comer See aus, so wie wir.
Allein die Anfahrt über die Serpentinen der Passstraßen ist ein tolles Erlebnis mit unzähligen tollen Ausblicken und abenteuerlichen Tunneln.
Fazit der Kinder (und von mir) der Weg hat sich gelohnt -> siehe kleiner Schneemann an der Staumauer ? der das auch bestätigt. ☃️
Great place for a break or as a starting point for hikes in the high mountains.
After not quite 2 hours we came up here from Lake Como. At around 1900m altitude there is a great view of the Alpine peaks and the clear reservoir. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to enter the dam.
If you are traveling on the mountain pass roads between Italy and Switzerland, it is definitely worth taking a break here. Or you just choose the point as a destination for a day trip from Lake Como, like us.
Just the approach over the serpentines of the pass roads is a great experience with countless great views and adventurous tunnels.
Conclusion of the children (and mine) the way was worth it -> see little snowman at the dam ? which also confirms that. ☃️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo lago alpino situato in località Montespluga, poco sotto il passo dello Spluga. Ottima meta per una giornata all'aria aperta d'estate e raggiungibile in motoslitta durante i mesi invernali (il passo è chiuso al transito veicolare da novembre e maggio).
Beautiful alpine lake located in Montespluga, just below the Spluga pass. Excellent destination for a day outdoors in summer and reachable by snowmobile during the winter months (the pass is closed to vehicular traffic from November and May).
