L	Luigi Lanzillo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo andati in questo ristorante spinti dalle buone recensioni e devo dire che ci ha assolutamente soddisfatti, tanto da andarci 2 sere su 4. La qualità del cibo e la simpatia dei camerieri è senz'altro degno di nota. In particolare Giuseppe, che ci ha servito, disponibile e preparato, veramente bravo. La prima sera abbiamo preso un mega antipasto e due secondi: grigliata mista e tonno alla brace: piatti abbondanti e pesce fresco e cucinato davvero molto bene. Abbiamo assaggiato un amaro locale (Kaciuto) davvero molto buono. La seconda sera abbiamo optato per la versione dell'antipasto più grande, e in più abbiamo aggiunto anche due tartare di cernia. Questa volta abbiamo preso un solo secondo "ridotto": due scampi alla griglia. Freschi e saporiti!! Servizio rapido, Consiglio di prenotare. A Siderno, davvero il TOP. Bravi! We went to this restaurant driven by the good reviews and I must say that we were absolutely satisfied, so much so that we went 2 out of 4 evenings. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the waiters is certainly noteworthy. In particular Giuseppe, who served us, available and prepared, really good. The first evening we had a mega appetizer and two main courses: mixed grill and grilled tuna: abundant dishes and fresh fish and very well cooked. We tasted a very good local amaro (Kaciuto). On the second night we opted for the larger version of the appetizer, plus we also added two grouper tartare. This time we took only one second "reduced": two grilled prawns. Fresh and tasty !! Quick service, I recommend booking. In Siderno, really the TOP. Well done!

Ottimo sia l'antipasto che i primi. Prezzo adeguato ai ristoranti di pesce fresco It is located in the center of Siderno. Upon entering you are struck by the particular style of the place, see the photos. The menu is mainly based on fish. Excellent both the appetizer and the first courses. Price appropriate for fresh fish restaurants

Having lived in London and travelled extensively im very aware of quality and this was the case. The only surprise was the bill....excellent value, wonderful top class service amazing food.

In all honesty this was probably the worst meal I've had in the Calabria region. I came here with a friend as I heard good things about this place and was naturally excited to try some delicious authentic Italian cuisine, but I was swiftly dissapointed as soon as I tried the food. The staff was very friendly, but also extremely impersonal as when we went there they were not really busy, yet we felt rushed to eat and leave. The waiter highly recommended the linguine clams to me after I asked him for a recommendation.......... just a warning to anyone who's reading this, do not order the linguine clams! Being of Italian-Calabrese decent and working in restaurants the majority of my life, I have tried my fair share of pasta, linguine clams included, but I have never had a pasta dish so bland and flavourless like the linguine clams at La Vecchia Hosteria. My mate was equally disappointed with his selection as well for similar reasons. All in all, this was the worst meal I've had in Italy, considering I've been to Italy 5 times I think that says a lot. Also, just a side note the most expensive meal as well.
C	C C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate there this past August and it was disappointing to say the least. The seafood pasta dishes were bland and the seafood itself seemed a bit off. The appetizers were good but it did not make up for the price. At €80 you would expect something more than over cooked Barilla pasta. Far better places for value and quality.
