★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Scopello for a week and ate at La Trattoria three times, which should give some indication of how good it was. Some of the best cooked fish I've ever eaten in my life and I'm still thinking about the Smoked Tuna salad we had. Definitely go.

Now as waiter spotted our almost untouched plates he asked "don't you like it?" we responded "sorry not really", then we were offered to order something else, but we had been put off by the oily food we could have cooked better at home. Paid the full amount and left.. slightly hungry and incredibly disappointed.

The wine is nice and well choosen.
The only problem is the view. But we didn't care about because the meal was really good !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was decent, worst DINING/ WAITER EXPERIENCE EVER! Shared a seafood mix appetizer among three people, it was excellent overall, many variety of hot and cold seafood. Pasta dishes were decent. However, waiter was one of the worst. A stocky guy with a short beard, deliberately ignored us the entire time, stopped by our table only three times; once to take our order, once to bring us a second bottle of water, and last time to deliver food. We couldn't even get him to bring us our check or clear the table. I've had worse experience only one other time, in any country. All I can is "wow, he ruined it for the restaurant. "

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice food. Above average price for Sicily, average price for the area. Friendly staff. You can pay by card and the menu is available online. COVID-19 regulations seem to be followed mostly. We would definitely go again.
