Inizia con la processione mattutina della Real Maestranza del mercoledì santo dove il sindaco consegna le chiavi della città al capitano della Real Maestranza seguita dalla processione del Santissimo Sacramento portato dal vescovo. La sera stessa vi è la processione delle varicedde ( le piccole vare) che raccontano la passione di Cristo dal tradimento alla crocifissione. il giovedì santo vi è la processione delle vare grandi, stessa cosa con la spartenza finale intorno all'una di notte. il venerdì santo c'è la processione del Cristo nero o Signore della Città, con i devoti che a piedi nudi portano la vara con la statua del Cristo nero che giace dentro un urna di vetro e quanti a piedi nudi la seguono in segno di devozione.
