★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Dimora del Geco is a very beautiful and cozy house in the mountains over San Stefano. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the Mediterranean Sea with the Aeolian Islands in the background. The owner is very friendly and forthcoming and speaks very good English. The place is very lovely decorated and provides everything you need for daily life. Supermarkets are located in the town about 15 minutes by car (although the last bit of the road to the house might be a challenge for untrained drivers). When you come during winter times you can lite the fireplace in the living room to have it warm and for the upper rooms there are additional electric heatings. There is no WiFi, but the 4G reception for smartphones is quite good. Highly recommended to relax and forget about daily life. We loved it!
