The courses could come from a gastronomic restaurant while the prices are those of a normal restaurant and the place very cosy and romantic makes everyone's feel like home. After years of travel from vegan restaurant to another one, I discovered the first place that really masters the vegan cooking, from the perfect seasoning to the textures: every course is balanced and well presented while you can find back all the codes of the italian specialities. If you're not afraid about becoming vegan because of this amazing restaurant chef or if you want to taste the best vegan meal of your life, you should definitely take a break in this wonderful place !

IN SHORT. Positive: great, interesting tastes; very friendly stuff. Negative: third courses of the menus ("seasonal" and "up and down") are not as nice as the first two courses.
IN DETAIL. The restaurant occupies a first floor apartment kind of place. The eating are takes up one large room, about 6 tables. The ambience is nice but not stunning. Stuff is very relatable and friendly. Food is really nicely served. In addition to a la carte dishes there are three menus varying from more traditional to more daring. We tried two of the three and found then splendid. We loved two first courses and liked the third ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time I go to Livorno, I stop at La Casina di Alice for dinner or lunch. Giulio, the owner, is a fantastic person, and the food prepared by the cooks is simply amazing. Every dish is unique, and the menu changes a lot over time. Last time I had roasted pumpkin with potatoes and mushrooms (and rice ricotta) and it was great, plus the desserts (also changing over time depending on the season) are incredible. Super recommended!
