While Marina di Camerota is a seaside town, the food served here is not really fish but can be categorized as ‘hard-core nonna food’. Absolutely try the the melanzane imbottite and the Maracucciata. Interior is what you would expect from a cantina/tavern with an abundance of wood and antiques hanging from the walls. It reminded me of the film based in the early 1800s ‘Il Marchese del Grillo’.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During my holiday I’ve been here twice. Eating their dishes I’ve enjoyed the entire rusticity of Camerota. I reccomend you to try the traditional local food and skip dishes based on fish which, all in all, i found a little bit neglected and doesn’t really fit in their typical cuisine. Prices are excellent as well as the food quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Traditional cuisine executed perfectly and served with a smile in a gorgeous atmosphere (book a table outside!). Local products, local recipes: a trip to Marina di Camerota isn't complete without a visit here. (I went twice in one week!)
