★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is amongst the more expensive in Bari and it shows on the food; the dishes were very good albeit not super inventive; the desert - 3 chocolates, was tasty but it could have come together more nicely (by maybe adding some acidity?) all the elements were sweet and placed separately, the caramel and peanuts seemed extra; the service was excellent; the door situation was a bit weird as it appeared (or was really) locked, also the abundance of stickers on the door gave a weird message, some were really old, perhaps keeping only the info on the recent awards would be sufficient ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and cosy restaurant.we tried the 4 courses tasting menu. Some of the dishes were delicious some were good. The bread selection could have been softer and more fragrant. The wine selection was perfect and the somelier very helpful and gentile as all the staff members including the chef. The place definitely deserve a second visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made the mistake of ordering the 7-course tasting menu and the 5-course wine pairing.
TL;DR - order a la carte and a bottle of wine. The kitchen can produce good food but don’t challenge it/expect Michelin-quality service.
The cured fish amuse bouche was excellent. The next two courses were very similar — raw fish and raw mushrooms. The cooked fish course was excellent.
Then the service started to break down. Wine would show up with no matching course. Eventually the lamb dish arrived and it was very good. Then a loooong wait for the dessert course that turned out to be two scoops of pistachio ice cream. Good ice cream, but why did we have to wait so long for someone to put it in a bowl? And the dessert wine was completely MIA; we had to remind someone to serve it to us long after the dessert course was cleared.
This restaurant feels like it’s reaching for a Michelin star, but nobody acknowledged the service failures — which suggests they don’t have the self-awareness to reach the next level.

At La Bul you'll have the most amazing dining experience, with great wine pairings (finally a restaurant where they truly know how to pair food and wine...), perfect, knowledgeable service, In a beautiful location. Considering the quality of the food, it's not even very expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perhaps expectations were too high but however attentive the service and presentation, the taste didn't impress. Seafood was bland, perhaps too 'French'. Astice main dish felt more like an antipasto. Skipped desert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing! Very charming and well organized staff, the food was just perfect. Creative dishes, wonderfully decorated, surprising textures and really great taste. It was worth all the money. I can't understand the negative critiques. If you want to experience an extraordinary evening, this is where you should get a table in Bari. Thank you La Bul! :)
