Carafe or sparkling water
Glass of house, (very pleasant to my unrefined palate, tasting of raspberry and oak)
1/5 a baguette, (dry, bland, and no butter; wrapped in paper rather than on a plate)
Cranberry salad with sunflower seeds, fresh and crisp mixed greens with balsamic and grape vinegar and olive oil
Potato purée with fried seafood
Tiramisu in a small lidless jar (very rich and delicious, with plenty of cocoa powder, consistency of pudding)
All served by a kind waitress with enough English to help me muddle through. Scores of liquors and wines are visible. It seems they have taken complaints about kitchen grease to heart and have enclosed the kitchen with glass; no need to worry about unwanted smells lingering on clothing.
The restaurant was filled with local patrons. The staff turned out the lights to present a beautiful cake with large candles in the shape of 26 for a party of 10, who sang “happy birthday” in Italian. The staff applauded enthusiastically.
Overall, mostly superior food well served. I would give it four stars, but I enjoyed myself so much I have to bump it to five.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice and cosy place, utterly clean but I found it a little hard to find. The area is off the beaten track but pleasantly residential. The food is scrumptious, with the usual selections of Lazio dishes to which they have added their own touch. Go here for an experience off the beaten path of the centro storico. Service is very friendly.
