★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and i decided to eat locally tonight and we had such a great night at this restaurant. The waiter was so friendly and he really catered to our needs with great recommendations. The food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. I must say this was one of the best meals we've had in Europe, with the perfect combination of good food, humor and a great atmosphere. We highly recommend this place especially if you're after good seafood or a special Sardinian meal and not to mention the delicious limoncello at an extremely reasonable price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner Joseph was so very friendly and spoke great English to help us pick from the menu. He even helped me figure out how to eat the prawns :) His mother does all of the traditional cooking and it was delicious!!! Desert and limoncello ended the meal perfectly. We had a chocolate lava cake, best I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The meal was affordable and we would go back in a heartbeat. It was hands down the best meal we had while in Rome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the best restaurant during my recent visit to Rome. 1. The waiter was very personable, pleasant, and helpful. 2. It seemed to be family run (i.e. "authentic) - as one person mentioned - the waiter was a "One Man Show" and did it very well. 3. It was quaint, comfortable and clean. 4. It was in the neighborhood. 5. MOST IMPORTANTLY I'm a vegetarian and although we went to several different restaurants...none were able or WILLING to accommodate my simplest request "Spaghetti with Marina Sauce please" - they claimed not to understand. This waiter (gee I didn't get his name - bummer). Still we talked to him early afternoon - he explained menu...told him I didn't eat meat - he made suggestion and said he would accommodate my request. He was great. It was the last restaurant we ate before leaving Rome the next morning. And I'm so delighted to say...he showed "someone" in Rome was willing to be helpful and accommodating - and I had one good meal...only at L'isola. PLEASE GO...you will enjoy service, atmosphere and food. paz, paix, peace

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family owned restaurant. Wonderful seafood, and very personalised service from Joseph. Very friendly and able to speak English, and recommended many authentic Sardinian dishes to us. Cosy and comfortable environment. We thoroughly enjoyed this meal in Rome before heading home to Singapore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place right down the street from our Holiday Inn Express. Juiseppe was very helpful in guiding us to the meals we wanted. He was kind and considerate of our limited knowledge of Italian. He pronounced everything we asked about on menu several times. Oh yes, food was delicious. They specialize in pasta and fish.

Fantastic atmosphere, and would definitely come back to try another dish. If you are looking for something different and delicious, please try L'isola!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, the owner and chef are extremely welcoming and easy to communicate with. The menu has it all, but their expertise is the seafood. The seafood was extremely fresh, made to order and the pasta was perfectly al dente! Everything that came out of the kitchen was exquisite! My only regret is not going back for dinner the following night but i was only there for 2 nights and got back to my hotel far too late for dinner.
Next time I am in Rome, I will be returning and I highly recommend you have a taste for yourself!
