------- English version below ------ I have had the pleasure of dining at this farmstay on several occasions in recent years. Many families in the area produce their own food from first materials : the grain used to make the pasta and bread is grown in their own fields, the meat comes from animals raised on their own property, the oil comes from their own olive grove, the wine from their own vineyard. The food is authentic to the Samnite / Molisan cooking style. The Nelsons are also specialists in making artisinal liquors. What they serve at the table is exactly what they themselves eat at each meal, and the meals are prepared with great effort and care. The head of the family, Antonio, is a jovial and friendly character full of energy and laughter. During my visits to the agriturismo I learned that he has been making charcoal in the traditional way since he was a young boy, and remains one of the few people in the area who still does it. There are several rooms, at least two family sized rooms and one single room, each with their own private bathroom. There might be a fourth room but I don’t recall. For people who appreciate authentic country cooking and the rural lifestyle, this place is a true gem and definitely worth visiting. From what I understand, though, only Italian is spoken there.
In recent years I have had the pleasure of having lunch at the farm on numerous occasions. Many families in the area produce the 'raw materials' for their daily diet: the flour used for pasta and bread is obtained from the wheat grown in their fields; the meat is that of the animals raised by them; the oil is that of their olive trees and the wine is made with grapes from the house vine. The dishes belong to the Samnite / Molise gastronomic tradition. The Nelson are also specialized in the artisan production of spirits. The food they bring to the table is what they themselves consume at every meal, after having prepared it with great care and passion. The rooms available are varied: at least two large family rooms and one single, all with private bathroom. Maybe there is also a fourth room, but I'm not sure. For those who appreciate authentic traditional cuisine and the rural lifestyle, this place is a true 'jewel' that is definitely worth visiting. ------- English version below ------ I have had the pleasure of dining at this farmstay on several occasions in recent years.
