Well, you cannot beat this experience. I am from Bihar providence, India and we have a similar kind of lift in Rajgir too. Again, I am settled in NJ, USA and at seaside heights boardwalk, we have this but hardly at 10-20 feet height. This event was something else. Just wow. The easiest way to get to Monte Solaro is by chairlift. The journey to the summit of Capri's mountain takes just 12 minutes. Take the chairlift from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri. You will get a bus from Capri every 15 minutes ( 5 euro pp) and it stops only a few meters away from the entrance. Get off when the driver calls out ''Anacapri" and climb up the steps which you'll find opposite the stop. If you decide to walk up to the summit, you can expect anything between an hour and an hour and a half ( 2km hike). But who wanna hike when you have this open chair lift The chairs on the chairlift are made for a single passenger. There is a safety bar, but it is easily lifted, yes for someone it can be dangerous and yes it can be for your kids, so mind it. This is not for faint-hearted. While going up, enjoy the splendid views of the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius in the background, the Gulf of Salerno, Anacapri, the Isle of Ischia and the incomparable beauty of the color of the sea. Up and down is only 12 euro ( 9 euro single ride). Children under 7 ride free on their parent's lap. You ll never forget this experience

Excellent! Defiantly worth the ride to see as much as you can of the island ? If you’re not afraid of heights and you love nature then you will love this experience! The chairs don’t move too fast and once your in you are pretty safe.. just hang on and thoroughly enjoy the ride to the top ⛰ for some amazing views ?

Do it! Peaceful and jaw dropping. Don’t worry, it’s not a rickety, squeaky ride. Just enjoy the moment you lift from the ground and suddenly you can be nowhere but in the present moment. The angle of the sea shining brilliant in the bluest of blues and greenest of greens—you’ll be captivated. Get a return ticket before you go up and then enjoy the views from Monte Solaro when you get up before descending for her another breathtaking view. I believe it was 9 euro for a route trip ride. Up and back with about 5 minutes for photos at the top: 30 min. But linger longer, please. Bring a picnic up there. Find someone to make out with. Whatever you need to do, just be in the moment.

Towering over the village of Anacapri is the peak of Monte Solaro. At 589 meters above sea level, the mountain is the highest point on Capri and the best place for views across the island and far beyond – weather permitting. With one of Mont. Chairlift carried passengers from Anacapri town to the top of Monte Solaro and it only takes about 12 minutes, which sounded like a much better idea than the two kilometre walk uphill to the summit. there are little individual open wooden seats that you jump on and off while they keep moving. The chairs carry you up above the rooftops of Anacapri’s houses and over terraced gardens and orchards towards the summit. Emerging at the the top, the wind hits you first and the views a close second. It’s a short walk up to the highest point on Mount Solaro. There is a large concrete platform giving you fabulous panoramic views. There is a little cafe on the platform with a terrace called La Canzone Del Cielo. You can grab a drink and snack. A nice experience. The chairlift takes you above houses, gardens and forest, to the top of Monte Solaro. It is a fast but calm trip. The view on top was magnificent. You can see both Capri and Anacapri. Make sure to check the weather before you hop on a chair because it’s best to do this on a day with clear sky. It was a little bit cold and rainy on our way back and we could see disapointment on the face of people who were going up.

You can't visit Capri without taking the 15 minute chair lift from Ana Capri to the summit !! Super peaceful , great views up & down and only €12.00 per person. No hesitation in recommending

One of the most beautiful experiences ever. At first I was very nervous when I got in the chair and realized how high I was with only a small bar there to keep me from falling out, however, after a few minutes I was more relaxed and enjoying the gorgeous views! We went years before the pandemic and are counting the days until we can go back.
