★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We first visited Jamaica as part of the Milan Food Walking Tour of Brera. I had a delicious plate of risotto with saffron and a Campari cocktail. Based on that experience we decided to give it another try. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. If all the restaurants in Milan were closed this would be the place to eat. Our server could not be less interested in serving us or working. When I politely requested EVOO and balsamic for my bread (for the third time) he looked perturbed and said, “service was not included with our meal.” I gave it 2 stars only because the food was eatable. For the price we paid I would have expected something memorable in a good way.

Location - right in the heart of Brera on Via Brera with views of the Art Gallery and the buzzing Via Fiori Chiari.
Facilities & atmosphere - you can chose to sit out front, in the backyard or inside. I personally enjoy sitting at the front and looking at the people passing by. Jamaica has a unique atmosphere and is a must-see in Brera.
Beverages - I cannot comment on food since I never ordered any but drinks. First, if you order a drink you will get some snacks with it. I though that is such a beautiful thing and I love it. The Aperol Spritz was also very delicious.
Staff - a big thank you to the friendly staff. Very accomodating, very useful tipps and they even brought some water for my dog. Thank you again.
Overall, great place to start or end your evening in Brera.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jump into nightlife in Brera district and enjoy Bar Jamaica. A meeting point for artists, designers, photographers, writers and the hip people. The prices for drinks and food are rather on a high level but the meals are very tasteful. Ask permission at the staff to take pictures. Heated outdoor terrace in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff is very rude and unfriendly. Told me they would only accept card payments over €5, but when I pointed out that I didn't have any cash on me (it's post-covid after all), I was allowed to pay the €3 Cappuccino (certainly not the cheapest or best in town) by card.
