Tre anni sono tanti, non si parla di un ricovero in un reparto di chirurgia o di un day hospital durante i quali , purtroppo , la relazione col paziente ha poco tempo a disposizione , ma di luogo in cui le persone soggiornano anni e dove si viene a contatto con le famiglie . Durante il periodo di Covid ( un anno di chiusure ) ci saranno arrivate forse 5 videochiamate , sempre dopo aver telefonato più e più volte al centralino ,impazienti di avere notizie. Un mese fa mia nonna viene a mancare . Nessuna telefonata da parte della struttura nei giorni precedenti ( era incosciente da giorni lo abbiamo scoperto per caso recandoci presso la struttura), nessun medico o infermiere venuto a darci notizie e , tantomeno, neanche una telefonata di condoglianze verso una famiglia che ha frequentato la struttura per tre anni. Mi dispiace per quelle pochi operatori che fanno bene il loro lavoro, davvero da contare sulle dita di una mano, ma l'assistenza è altro e non si tratta solo di mera assistenza di base ( sulla quale si potrebbe anche parlare), ma di relazione e tanto tanto altro . A month ago my grandmother passed away. No phone calls from the structure in the previous days (he was unconscious for days we discovered it by chance by going to the structure), no doctor or nurses came to give us news and, even less, not even a condolence call to a family who attended the structure for three years. I am sorry for those few operators who do their job well, really to be counted on the fingers of one hand, but assistance is something else and it is not just a mere basic assistance (which we could also talk about), but a relationship. and much, much more.
