Ambiente pulito e comodo poiché dispone di cucina e lavanderia in comune, possibilità di vedere la tv in una stanza in condivisione con gli altri ospiti . Nei dintorni è possibile raggiungere a piedi supermercato, farmacia e fermata bus! A pochi metri da villa Maria eleonora , comodo per chi purtroppo ha parenti ricoverati presso questa clinica. We stayed a few days at this property. Clean and comfortable environment since it has a shared kitchen and laundry, the possibility of watching TV in a room shared with other guests. Nearby you can walk to supermarket, pharmacy and bus stop! A few meters from Villa Maria Eleonora, convenient for those who unfortunately have relatives hospitalized at this clinic.

Per mia nonna la tariffa era di 2000€ al mese e dovevo occuparmi io di procurare medicinali, pannolini e catetere (mia nonna era allettata a causa di alcune ulcere alle gambe). Certe giornate durante il cambio turno lasciavano i pazienti a suonare anche per ore. Le signore di servizio sono gentilissime ma poche per una struttura simile. Inoltre non era raro che mi facessero attendere diversi minuti fuori quando mi recavo a visitare mia nonna. Capisco che siate suore e avete i riti ma assumente più personale. Detto sinceramente per una cifra simile mi sarei aspettato un servizio notevolmente migliore. Poco prima di spostare mia nonna in un altra struttura la sorella infermiera mi disse che dopo la malattia mia nonna non avrebbe più ripreso a camminare. Oggi mia nonna vive una vita serena in un altra casa di riposo e riesce a camminare con il girello. Fosse stato per loro l'avrebbero tenuta allettata a vita. Traete voi le vostre conclusioni. Certain days during shift change left patients to play for hours. The service ladies are very kind but few for a similar structure. It was also not uncommon for them to wait several minutes outside when I went to visit my grandmother. I understand that you are nuns and have rituals but hiring more personal. To be honest, for a similar amount I would have expected a significantly better service. Shortly before moving my grandmother to another facility, the nurse sister told me that after the illness my grandmother would never start walking again. Today my grandmother lives a peaceful life in another nursing home and manages to walk with the walker. Had it been for them, they would have kept her enticed for life. You draw your own conclusions.

Con il tempo l'istituto ha subito cambiamenti, sia di struttura (é stato eliminato parte del viale per consentire al comune di costruire la strada) e purtroppo anche la scuola é stata chiusa per motivi economici. Adesso ospita l'Umberto I, ma ha mantenuto attiva la casa di riposo, nata inizialmente solo per utenti autosufficienti. Ho continuato ad avere contatti con alcune delle suore che hanno fatto parte della mia infanzia, qualche anno fa ho avuto anche la possibilità di svolgere un laboratorio di musicoterapia usufruendo di una stanza in comodato d'uso gratuito, sempre grazie alla loro bontà e disponibilità. Se un giorno dovessi ritornare a Palermo, sicuramente offrirei il mio servizio per la casa di cure.
