★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La villa veneta è una tipologia di residenza patrizia fondata dal patriziato della Repubblica di Venezia e sviluppatasi nelle aree agricole dei Domini di Terraferma tra la fine del XV secolo e il XIX secolo. In questo arco temporale furono realizzate più di cinquemila ville venete, molte delle quali sono ancora conservate e tutelate dall'Istituto Regionale Ville Venete; le zone interessate dalla presenza di questi edifici sono l'intero Veneto, in particolare la Riviera del Brenta, e alcune pianure del Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Nel XVI secolo, con l'architetto Andrea Palladio, si formò uno specifico tipo di villa veneta, individuato con il nome di villa palladiana: le ville palladiane del Veneto sono state inserite nell'elenco dei patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO.
 The Venetian villa is a type of patrician residence founded by the patrician of the Republic of Venice and developed in the agricultural areas of the mainland domains between the end of the fifteenth century and the nineteenth century. During this time, more than five thousand Venetian villas were built, many of which are still preserved and protected by the Venetian Villas Regional Institute; the areas affected by the presence of these buildings are the whole of Veneto, in particular the Riviera del Brenta, and some plains of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
In the 16th century, with the architect Andrea Palladio, a specific type of Venetian villa was formed, identified with the name of the Palladian villa: the Palladian villas of the Veneto were included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
