Il tutto frutto di un grande gesto di generosità dell'imprenditore vicentino Demetrio Zaccaria che nel 1981 donò al Comune la sua biblioteca privata e il palazzo che le fa da scrigno. Il palazzo è sicuramente da visitare: di stile neoclassico, presenta all'ultimo piano un inaspettato e sorprendente appartamento di 600 metri quadri, interamente restaurato dal famoso architetto e designer Carlo Scarpa. Un gioiello di cultura e architettura nel cuore di Vicenza.
