★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you ever go to Barletta make sure to have a real Italian dinner at Maria's Il Valentino family restaurant. They don't speak English (well almost no one in Barletta does :D), but you do understand each other as Maria's incredible charm and kindness as well as delicious cooking break all the language barriers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After having read good reviews online we came here on Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. The old lady didn't give or offer menu so I needed to translate everything on the spot for my mom. Without taking too long we decided what we wanted to have. Our first dish was pasta with scampi. Sounds good but it wasn't-pasta was completely undercooked and not al dente which I wouldn't mind. Scampi were mostly for decorative purpose because there wasn't practically any meat.
As our main dish we had chosen sole and sea bream. The size of the fish was really pathetic and side salad too.
Then the old lady came and asked if we wanted some fruits. I was still hungry so I ordered some watermelon and melon. It was the best dish of all :D Really sweet & juicy :D
SUMMARY-IF YOU WANT TO HAVE VERY LITTLE AND BAD FOOD WICH COSTS EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN DECENT RESTAURANT THEN DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grilled fish and salad. Fresh fish, salads is simple. You can't make it wrong. Lady who is an owner is very nice, her husband and son are helping her in the kitchen. Dessert was too sweet home cake, I'm making something like that when I have very few time. Conclussion: feel like home place, not a fancy restaurant but a home style cafe. Nothing about high cousine, decorations, sauces, but fresh. If it's what you need = go ahead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On our trip through Italy this has been the best place to eat. Cheap, delicious and very friendly staff. Big antipasti buffet and typical apulien food. Take the menu for 15-18€ and you're fine (since the staff only speaks italian).
