Very characteristic place. The dishes are very good and well cared for. The owner is very nice and helpful. An experience to be repeated.

Like in much of Frascati, the staff didn't speak English, but our broken Italian was just about good enough! And we got the proper Italian meal treatment: a warm welcom with bread & prosecco, excellent food and then limoncello and some sort of magic juice: one tasted like cherry-port and the other one like ginger-sherry. Also made by the chef. The Prosecco, bread and final drinks are included in the 1 EUR each 'coperto' charge.
Slight warning: the gnocchi dishes are very filling, and some of our group ate their pasta and then were so full they didn't want to order secondi (second course)
My bistecca (steak) and patate al forno (roast potatoes) were both absolutely excellent. I thought the gnocchi al tartufo (truffle gnocchi) was only ok, but the other dishes were great.
The price? Well, can you put a price on a big, welcoming night out? 8-10 eur for pasta or gnocchi, 12 eur for a steak, 4 eur side dish. 15 eur bottle of wine (we took the chef's favourite). Make your own mind up.
