S	Sebastian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed two lovely days here, thanks for the hospitality and the great service :) Good view, awesome breakfast, nice pool and sauna. Rooms are big and have the charm of an old guesthouse (sometimes a bit too old;))
D	Daniel Trzesniak on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the second time we come to the restaurant. The food and service remain at top level. If the weather is nice, they prepare the terrace and the view is just amazing. They have an interesting wine list, with a good selection of Piedmont's top producers.
R	Rolf Hettel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location directly at the lago maggiore. From my room i had a good view over the lake and the small harbor. The room was large and clean. The equipment was old but not in bad condition, more like antiquities... romantic. I was there only for one night, but the breakfast was huge (seriously). Not a buffet, but everything you need on your own table. The Staff was very friendly. There is a hidden parking lot exclusive for the hotel, next to the harbor. From there you can walk through the nice garden, up-hill to the hotel. There is a beautiful terrace with some tables, with top view over the lake and surrounding hillside.

The approach of the family-led hotel is nothing but the creating of a true luxurious experience for their guests. Definitely not our last visit. If you're into artisian wine selections and perfect treatment within an historic atmosphere, this is your place to be.
A	Anne-Marie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uhm, uhm, uhm... I must say that I had expected more from this renowned restaurant in Ranco. I believe they lost the stella Michelin. Gazebo was dirty overhead, which was surprising especially considering that we were at the beginning of the summer season. Portions were not generous (nearly amuse-bouches). Panorama is typically spectacular and, naturally, the view contributes to the dining experience and the cost! Sadly the photos attached do not do the view justice as it was a disappointingly cloudy evening...
M	Max H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Sole di Ranco is a beautiful little hotel by the lake, with unique, antique and stylish looking rooms. The service is absolutely friendly and is happy to help you with any wish you might have. As Ranco may not be the place to be at the lago yet, it certainly is the terasse of the hotels restaurant, with its lovely view, and of course the restaurant itself. The kitchen crew offers the most delicious meals in the typical Italian 3-4 course style. The meals are modernly arranged, but consist of local ingredients, e.g. fish from the lake. Last but not least, the wine card is very impressive, too! Thanks for having us!

Our risotto was full of panna and butter and the fish deep fried like a cheap fish & chips. Service was friendly but not capable to explain the wine list. A big trap for a 80/90euros lunch.
F	Flo Master on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful setting, correct service, high level cooking. we’ve been going to this restaurant for many years, and I must say I like it better now that it has lost its Michelin stars. From a nice bread basket to the free starters, and onto excellently cooked seafood pasta and a superb cheek of veal, everything was perfect. The room newly decorated with seven tables very nice, of course in the summer outside on the splendid terrace is even better!
