★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We initially discarded this site because of the reviews, but ended up coming here for two nights because an adjacent one was closed. Really though, some of the reviews are a bit unfair. It is very clean, the staff are helpful, hot showers, washing machines, motorhome service area - it really is as good as most inland ones we’ve stayed on in Italy. Yes the pitches are small - but the site is not busy so plenty of space for everyone, and the ground is hard so maybe not good for large tents. Also, some may have issues with shower curtains rather than doors - personal taste! We spent a half day at the lovely, quiet pool next door for 5€ each. So, give it a go - we’re quite fussy 6o+ and it’s been fine. Only a 20 minute walk along one road (with footpath) to the centre of the old town - couldn’t be more convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to spend some nights to explore the lovely town Lucca. It is clean but the showers may require an upgrade. Furthermore I would expect other options than cash payment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bathrooms not very well maintained. Campsite overall a little neglected. Good for visiting Lucca. Opposed to many recommendations for viaiting Lucca, we really thought that this city is not worth a stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have no idea why this camper camping is still in business. The owner is a disgrace, the water is leaking like in a swamp and the showers are completely outdated. The bar-man and -lady are the only plus, but for the swimming pool is 5 EUR more on top of the 27 EUR PER NIGHT. With the bike one can reach the wonderful walls of Lucca which one can bike all around for 4 km. Very nice bar in the green at the quiet side of the walls, north. This of course is a plus for the situation of the camping but beware for the traffic before you enter the gate of Lucca.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice campsite at walking distance from Lucca city center (20 min). Friendly staff, clean spots, you can order bread and the little bar is great for a drink in the evening.
Showers in same area as toilets causes permanent wet floor and the bikes for rent are a little outdated, but apart from that highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small but peaceful (camper) camping, it has everything you need. It has a bar with a super friendly and helpful owner who also gives great recommendations. At the bar you can have a breakfast with Cappu or a drink. The owner rents also (city)bikes. Cheap and super useful! The location is great, 25 min walk/8 min by bike to Lucca city centre. The sanitary house is basic. Recommend to have a dip in the river next to the camping on a hot afternoon. We were with a tent and had a super nice stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed for 2 nights. 7.5m RV very handy to Luca. €25 a night with power. Showers hot but bathrooms are wet all the time because of design fault. Floor squeegees would be handy. We biked from here to Pisa on e bikes …. nice ride. Got lost but made it back
