In November, the only restaurant open on Wednesdays. The antipasti quite rich. Not very wide menu but everything is correct with a good price. Good fries. The staff (1) are not particularly charming, but there are no complaints whatsoever.

Nice place, even if the food could be better, you can definitely improve the service. Since the coffee is not offered for the high cost of living, but at least the 50 cents on the bill could be taken off the bill.

Insomma pessima esperienza cibo pessimo
April 25 we decide to go to Pietrelcina ... all the restaurants were full and already booked so they didn't take reservations. We ask in this restaurant if it is possible to have lunch they say yes but to leave the name and wait for the turn they ask us for a deposit (which is very strange to me) never happened in other places, but in any case there was no problem and therefore we leave the deposit.
Once inside, we order 2 appetizers, 3 first courses (including my daughter's) and 2 seconds ... as soon as the appetizers are served and my daughter's first course, we kindly ask if it was possible to remove a first course because my daughter is not there. the waitress Sabrina says it's fine! After 40 minutes he comes back and says that it cannot be removed pk the cook had already dropped the pasta I ordered fettuccine with meat sauce served cold and my husband's carbonara as served so he brought it back pk he did not eat it having eaten the first of my daughter!
The seconds arrived after 1 hour from the first always cold The hamburger I don't know what it tasted like, the meat was raw you couldn't cut it but not only us, the adjacent tables also complained !!!
There was also the tourist menu but we ordered a la carte!
Anyway we get up from the table with the main courses on the plates without having eaten L we go to pay and we point out to the owner that the first dish had been brought back and that we had told him before that it was served and the owner says but the pasta had already been calata (I had said L as soon as the appetizers were served)
Bad, definitely avoid there is better in the area
Overall bad experience bad food

Buon cibo e buon vino. Abbiamo gustato specialita' tipiche della zona nonostante fuori ci fossero 34°. Personale discreto e gentile. Da ritornarci.
Welcoming, located in one of the main streets of Pierrelcina that leads from the Convent, where the Padre Pio Museum is also located, to the Church of the Madonna della Libera. Good food and good wine. We tasted typical specialties of the area even though it was 34 ° outside. Discreet and kind staff. To go back.

Nice restaurant with interesting house specialties.
Numbered seats we were at n.1.
Excellent cheese and black pig ham appetizers, but above all a splendid fried potato pie. Even the first good ones: tagliatella with porcini and carbonara. In the ravioli with ricotta and artichokes the artichokes were not felt very much. We drank an excellent (for me) sparkling Aglianico! Then dessert and coffee. Low prices (less than € 30 each)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely pizza in a great Italian setting. Have a large range of starters and a good selection of 'standard' pizzas with a number of specials to choose from. The prices are very affordable but the quality is well above the price asked for.
Their pizza oven is on view and produces a great stone based bread that'll beat anything that you'll get on offer in the UK. Another great sign is that it's very popular with the locals too, so book early or be prepared to make an evening of it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay place to eat. You can't expect quality food for that price at a such touristic place. Service takes very long. At lunch time they offer 3 types of menue sizes (low price inkl. drinks) and you can choose from 2-4 dishes. Therefore you could expect quick service, but either kitchen or service (or even both) lack in staff...
Addition: secondi piatti was awful, meat was dry, salad salty and only oil on a warm dish, very disappointing!
Even for the low price I'd rather have desent food...
Check your priorities....
