★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manager was waiting on me the whole time and I never knew. Wonderful service with a fantastic drink. I didn't have food here but by the looks of it, it's perfect.
You'll do yourself a disservice if you don't stop here. Not a busy night this end of September, however the atmosphere boasts busy history. I read below something about over priced drinks. I can assure you that if you know anything about the art of alcohol that this is the place to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giardino di Lipari is a posh place, it's definitely charming. I would consider this venue just as a cocktail bar rather than a restaurant.
The restaurant is shamefully expensive for the plates they serve.
The plates are tiny, so tiny that you leave with hunger, they sell them as gourmet dishes but in reality it's just average food not even well presented.
The octopus dish is made of an half backed and mashed potato with gummy octopus tentacles (properly cooked octopus is soft) served with 6 crisps that you can find in supermarket vegetables crisps.
The arancino is half of the size of a real arancino, there is no rice inside but a mix of whole anchovies resulting in a mix of fish bones.
The fried falafels came out as 4 balls of 2cm diameter that taste like canned chickpeas.
Avoid like fire if you are looking for a restaurant. It's clearly managed by the (Disney) beagles boys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, despite being the most beautiful bar in Lipari, management and personnel are not able to give you the experience you deserve when you pay that kind of price for each drink. Typical 'radical chic' context, where everything is expensive and if you raise your voice for a joke they give you a bad look

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The starters were nice, the main courses were very average. I believe that better restaurants can be find on the island. Also it's very expensive and it took them for ever to make the dishes and the reataurant was empty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome ambiance, you can sip a drink in a quiet lemon garden, pleasant music selection... Kitchen style is fusion, traditional Sicilian cuisine with an international / healthy twist. Quality over quantity. Presentation of dishes is also well thought. Acceptable wine selection, nice cocktail card. Vegetarians have a few more options here than in the average restaurant in Lipari.

The reclining chairs are where the action is, tho you might almost doze off as I did!
Tried the Mezcal and Tequila cocktails and both where great!
