โ โ โ โ โ I don't know what's wrong with these others not leaving 5 star reviews, but they are wrong. :D I had this gelato 4 times in 3 days in Rome. I cried tears of joy over their Meringue Caramel...sweet, gooey, lil crunchy pieces, heaven in a cup. <3 Friendly service too, and no wait. Skip those places with the gelato all showy and mountainous. Gotta look for the round silver containers. ;)

Small family run shop. Everything is fresh, kept in closed steel containers. The place is spotless too. Sometimes there is a line out the door but it's absolutely worth waiting for.

โ โ โ โ โ The flavors of the ice cream was amazing with a strong impact and nice after taste. All of the ice creams were made without artificial coloring or chemical emulsifiers. Each ice cream seemed to be finely temperature controlled to provide the best mouthfeel and eating experience. It was slightly on the pricier side but well worth it.

โ โ โ โ โ The gelato here is, IMHO, 4 star but not the best. Itโs also a bit expensive compared to other places that are as good or better. Iโm downgrading San Crispino to 3 stars because the service here is cold and apathetic, which is a shame because smiles and kind words are free. Iโve been here a few times over the years, because itโs my favourite gelato near the Pantheon, and itโs always the same. If you go, and maybe you should (just be ready for the cold shoulder), the honey and meringue flavours are delicious and not easily found elsewhere.
