★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo poco valorizzato nelle guide turistiche per AIDONE (EN) anche perché dell'antico Castello Normanno è rimasto ben poco, alcuni grossi massi e i basamenti. Per puro caso ebbi la fortuna per una fugace visita del suddetto luogo presso AIDONE nella quale scattati pure alcune foto simpatiche che ancora conservo con molta cura.
 A place not valued in the tourist guides for AIDONE (EN) also because very little remains of the ancient Norman Castle, some large boulders and basements. By pure chance I was lucky enough to have a brief visit to the aforementioned place at AIDONE where I also took some nice photos that I still keep with great care.

The panorama is wonderful and you can admire the whole plain of Catania and Mount Etna that stands out on the horizon in all its magnificence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'll Castellagio (Cast' ddazz'), as it is called by locals, is a lovely place on top of the city of Aidone. It offers a grand views over the valleys of Catania dominated by the Etna, the still active Sicilian Vulcano.
The Norman Castle was build in the 11th century AD and used to cover the hill. However, today only rudimentary ruins are preseved.
Visitors of Aidone should definitely visit, as it provides a fantastic view and adds to the cultural and historic experience.
In the evening it is a favored place couples to hang out and enjoy the romantic setting.
