Un tempo chiamato Rivus Faustinus forse dedicato a San Faustino, santo bresciano cui erano devoti i longobardi e in particolare Adelperga, moglie di Arechi.
The nearby via Rafastia reminds us that the Rafastia stream flows silently and hidden under the road surface in the area which, born on the slopes of the Bonadies hill, passes under via Velia and then flows into the sea.
