★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wasn't allowed to take pictures because my fiancee was against it so I'll do my best to say it in words. I didn't stay in the hotel, but the restaurant raised the standard very high. They have great customer service, amazing food, outstanding wine, and a cozy setting! It'll be a great place for a date if you really want to impress her/him, just know you get what you pay for ($$$). Regardless, it is well deserved.
In my other reviews, I rated the restaurant Santa Lucia in Portrose, Slovenia. They had excellent seafood but if you don't want to drive three or more hours and/or want great seafood, this restaurant is a preferred substitute. The appetizer is an extremely strong start. Even their first course is outstanding. I'm not a huge fan of fried foods, but the night we went there, majority of their second course was fried so instead, we got grilled fish. To finish, they have a trolley of dessert that you can choose from. You can combine what you like and have it served immediately. However, I'm not a fan of sweets, but I did ask for a scorpino (spelling?). It was hands down one of the best. It was sweet and sour with the right amount of alcohol. The flavors complimented each other and was a great conclusion for the meal.
Beware, there's no menu; however, they explain it to you. They are Italian speakers but American friendly. Nonetheless, this barrier is a small price to pay compared to what you'll have in the next hour. I believe their menu changes daily? I didn't ask since I was very satisfied with my experience.
5/5, highly recommended and will come back at least once a month!
