Fate attenzione alle carte prima dell’acquisto!! A Luglio dopo più di 3 ore di viaggio per arrivare a Foggia mi sono trovato in grave disagio quando non ho potuto ritirare l'auto. Mi permetto di dire che sul sito della Herts non è scritto in maniera chiara e ben evidente che è obbligatorio avere una carta di credito al momento del ritiro della vettura: dovrebbero mettere un alert ben visibile che si ripeta più volte in centro pagina prima dell'acquisto, visto che una persona pensa che se la carta di debito o la prepagata per il pagamento è accettata non ci siano problemi a lasciarla come caparra. Inoltre (per politica dell’azienda) non mi sono minimamente venuti incontro, anche se ho detto che potevo lasciare l'iban o una caparra, mi hanno messo in non poca difficoltà. Per riavere indietro almeno la maggior parte del denaro, in negozio mi era stato detto circa 3 giorni, poi richiamandoli non più di 7 giorni, poi al numero verde massimo 10 giorni lavorati, poi via chat mi hanno detto fino a 15 giorni lavorativi. Inoltre per contattarli ho dovuto provare più e più volte sul sito nel reparto “contatti”: prima ho provato per ben 15 volte (in giorni diversi) a scrivere sul sito in "Formula una domanda", ma appena facevo invio diceva che c’era un errore e non la mandava (ho provato su diversi pc). Ho aspettato per ben 8 volte, per più di 20 min l’una (in giorni diversi) che si caricasse la chat “dal vivo”, poi finalmente mi hanno risposto e mi hanno detto 15 giorni lavorativi di attesa e che non c'era modo di aver nemmeno un documento di avvenuta cancellazione della prenotazione, una cosa a mio parere davvero inaccettabile e frustrante (cosa che peraltro avevo richiesto anche in negozio e al telefono mi avevano detto che non mi potevano dare niente). I ragazzi del negozio di Foggia e anche al numero verde sul quale ho fatto l'annullamento circa 1 ora prima dell'ipotetico recupero mi avevano detto che potevo richiedere i 45€ di penale in quanto ho effettuato la prenotazione e il successivo annullamento entro le 48 ore (ho prenotato alle ore 15:00 del giorno prima e la mattina alle 10:00 avevo il ritiro) e nel negozio di Foggia avevano aperto una pratica di richiesta per questi 45€. Dopo circa 6-7 chiamate fatte al negozio e l’invio di mail, dopo averli inseguiti come scritto sopra e dopo essere riuscito a trovare una mail del servizio clienti su siti di terze parti (visto che sul loro sito non ero riuscito a trovare nulla), ancora ad oggi non ho avuto un riscontro definitivo. Mi hanno restituito l’importo del noleggio dopo circa 22 giorni deturpati dei 45 euro di penale; sinceramente penso che la cosa si commenti da sola.

I would like to say that on the Herts website it is not clearly and clearly written that it is mandatory to have a credit card when collecting the car: they should put a clearly visible alert that is repeated several times in the center of the page before the purchase, as a person thinks that if the debit or prepaid card for payment is accepted there will be no problem leaving it as a deposit. Furthermore (for company policy) they did not come to meet me in the slightest, even if I said I could leave the iban or a deposit, they put me in no small difficulty. To get back at least most of the money, I was told about 3 days in the shop, then calling them back no more than 7 days, then at the toll-free number for up to 10 working days, then via chat they told me up to 15 working days. In addition, to contact them I had to try over and over again on the site in the "contacts" department: first I tried 15 times (on different days) to write on the site in "Formulate a question", but as soon as I sent it said that there was an error and did not send it (I tried on several PCs). I waited 8 times, for more than 20 minutes each (on different days) for the "live" chat to load, then finally they answered me and told me 15 working days of waiting and that it wasn't there way of not even having a document confirming the cancellation of the reservation, something in my opinion really unacceptable and frustrating (which, however, I had also requested in the shop and on the phone they told me that they could not give me anything). The guys from the Foggia shop and also on the toll-free number on which I made the cancellation about 1 hour before the hypothetical recovery had told me that I could request the € 45 penalty as I made the reservation and the subsequent cancellation within 48 hours (I booked at 15:00 the day before and in the morning at 10:00 I had the withdrawal) and in the shop in Foggia they had opened a request for these 45 €. After about 6-7 calls made to the store and sending emails, after chasing them as written above and after managing to find a customer service email on third party sites (since I couldn't find anything on their site ), I still haven't had a definitive response to this day. They returned the rental amount to me after about 22 days defaced by the 45 euro penalty; I honestly think it comments for itself.

Da evitare. Prenotazione effettuata online con largo anticipo, mi chiamano il giorno stesso per dirmi di non presentarmi in quanto non hanno un'auto disponibile causa overbooking. Nessun'altra spiegazione e nessuna scusa offerta. Essendo già in viaggio in treno da più di 5 ore per andare da loro e sentito il loro servizio clienti mi sono presentato lo stesso in quanto sono obbligati a onorare il loro contratto. Mi è stato dato, al posto di una lancia Y o equivalente, un furgone Renault lungo 6,2 metri e alto 2,5 metri! Dopo due giorni di stress guidando un mezzo così grande su e giù per le stradine dei colli del Gargano, sono riscito a farmi sostituire il veicolo con un'auto normale alla Hertz dell'aeroporto di Bari (molto gentili e professionali, si sono pure scusati per il comportamento dell'agenzia di Foggia). Noleggio abitualmente veicoli e non sono mai incappato una situazione del genere. ---------- ENG ----------- Best to avoid. No other explanation and no apologies offered. Since I had already been travelling by train for 5 hours to get to them I called their customer service who told me their local agencies have to honour their contract and deliver a car. So I went to the agency in Foggia and, instead of car (a Lancia Y or equivalent) they gave me a van, 6.2 meters long and 2.5 meters high! Needless to say I found it very stressful to drive such a massive van up and down the hills in the Gargano area. I finally managed to swap the van with a normal car at the Hertz of Bari Airport (who were very kind and professional, apologising for the bahaviour of the Foggia office). I rent cars regularly and I have never experienced such a low quality service.

After two days of stress driving such a large vehicle up and down the narrow streets of the Gargano hills, I am right to have the vehicle replaced with a normal car at Hertz at Bari airport (very kind and professional, they also apologized for the behavior of the Foggia agency). Ero un pò spaventato viste le molte recensioni negative ma devo dire che la mia esperienza è stata molto positiva. Ho prenotato un'auto economica per 10 giorni e mi è stato gentilmente offerto un SUV allo stesso prezzo. Nessun problema al ritiro o alla consegna.
I was a little scared given the many negative reviews but I have to say my experience was very positive. I booked an economy car for 10 days and was kindly offered an SUV for the same price. No problems with collection or delivery.

Che la Hertz Italia non faccia sconti alle forze armate, mentre all'estero si, non importa. Quello che importa è che, ogni volta che mi capita di noleggiare un auto, specificando la classe, arriva il giorno del noleggio e mi danno una classe inferiore..... Bada bene! Inferiore ma allo stesso prezzo pagato alla prenotazione per una classe superiore. C'è altro da dire? Avendo chiesto spiegazioni, il commesso cerca di evadere la risposta cercando di prendermi in giro facendo finta di non capire ed inventando scuse classiche da truffatore di mestiere. Ovviamente ho sporto reclamo, che poi i dipendenti non si lamentino che li hanno messi in casa integrazione.
That Hertz Italia does not offer discounts to the armed forces, while abroad it does, it does not matter. What matters is that, whenever I happen to rent a car, specifying the class, the day of the rental arrives and they give me a lower class ..... Mind you! Lower but at the same price paid when booking for a higher class. Is there anything else to say? Having asked for an explanation, the clerk tries to evade the answer by trying to make fun of me by pretending not to understand and inventing classic scammer excuses. Obviously I filed a complaint, which then the employees do not complain that they have placed them in the integration house.

Not quite what we expected. Working hours very inconvenient. Saturday 9-12:30... whaaat. And all other days with the lethal break from 1 to 3:30. Service- shocking. Didn’t speak english. Considering the fact that this company should work with foreigners was quite disturbing. Prices-high. Personnel - not only zero foreign language but also did not know the requirements for car usage and had to second-check and combined with all the other factors (the constant usage of google translate) lead to a 30minute stay which lead our time running out and not much use to rent a car anymore.

Terrible customer service and the employees don’t speak any English so best to stay away if you don’t speak Italian. We rented a car from the website and got a different one than we booked. Upon arrival we had to wait for 45 mins for our car to arrive (a mystery why someone hadn’t been sent to get it as they knew our time of arrival) and then were told we had to fuel our car with LPG - inconvenient because there are fewer service stations). When we dropped the car back off with the LPG tank full, we were told we should have filled the normal gasoline tank! So wended up having to pay extra even though they didn’t give us any proper explanations in a language we could understand. Strange for an international company like Hertz

Reserved a car this morning for 10 am. Went in no car. The car reserved for me has broken down and no other car available. I was advised to walk to 2 nearby offices from different companies to ask for a car and they will refund the difference. So I went, no cars available from any car rentals for today. No solution and no car for today end of. My 90 year old Mum and I had to go on bus with the suitcases. Not even a sorry. Better think twice before you rent a car in Foggia and Hertz a definite no.
