Hellenia Yachting Hotel Giardini Naxos

The staff of the hotel is very friendly, but this place needed a make over 10 years ago. Kind of run down, and funky. I would not stay there again.

It was nice. Nothing too fancy, it’s all quite old. Breakfast - nothing special... the beach is nice, the water is crystal clear. in the end we liked it...

We visited this hotel for a one week Iyengar yoga retreat. The yoga part of our stay was great. The venue where the practice sessions were held was less than ideal. They were held in a “conference room” in the basement which had very poor ventilation and there was a lot of noise from the nearby kitchen. So, definitely this place is not a place to hold any kind of conference or meeting. In the basement, there is also a tiny dark fitness room and jacuzzi. The only positive thing about the basement is that it was the only place in the hotel, we could find, where there was a strong WiFi signal. Our room on the second floor had such a weak signal, that we had to to use our data plan to be able to access internet services. The hotel has one small swimming pool which closes during siesta and early in the afternoon. There are several loungers around the pool which seem always being taken. The hotel is clearly past its days of glory. The rooms don’t have their individually controlled AC and the bathrooms have an ancient look. Moreover our shower door did not close tightly enough, so after taking shower, there was always a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor. Our plan included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was in a form of a buffet with a decent selection of food, which stayed constant during our whole stay. Strangely, if you wanted tea or coffee, you had to order it from one of the waiters. The dinners consisted of three courses, so while the main course servings were tiny, there was enough food. The dinner menus were written in highly artistic manner, so often we had to ask the waiting staff for meaningful description of the dish. And even they were often puzzled what the meal names meant. The waiting staff served each plate separately at the table which mimicked an eating ritual at high-end restaurants. To me it just made no sense and showed the complete ignorance of saving water and protecting the environment. This leads me to the last comment about our stay. The nearby beaches looked like a garbage dump. If you love being surrounded by plastic bottles and swim along with hovering plastic bags, this is the place to visit.

My Experience: Parking was ok, but there are only 6-8 spots (no reservation possible) so in summer it should be tight. During my stay the hotel was still in spring mode and the pool and my activities were not working. We got a Bed Room with view on the ocean which was nice. However, the general state of the room is in need of a renovation. The Shower in the bathroom barely worked with the large area fixed shower head not working. The Breakfast was lacluster with being continental in style and in general of medium quality. Okish.

Multiple problems with room A/C unit, had to be relocated. Dining room very noisy, staff not well equipped to handle the dining group. Our group was seated together but one table I noticed did not get their meals until we were leaving, approx 1 hour later

Fantastic place to stay. Great rooms clean and airy. Staff were helpful and plenty of parking available. no idea why some idiots found it necessary to put towels on sun beds and lowering the tone on a classy hotel. Really nice breakfast and fantastic location.

This is perfect hotel for families, couples or single persons. The hotel has everything you need, lovely part of a beach, excellent service, wonderful meals, and two nice pianos: the grand one and the smaller one (it's hidden). I played both of them, but the grand one I played every day. Date taken: July 2016

Great hotel! Very nice rooms and impressive lobby. Staff extremely friendly and outstanding service. Delicious dinner and wine. Want to come back.
