Si arriva percorrendo un sentiero che si imbocca dalla strada asfaltata, non più carrabile (è segnalata come strada chiusa perchè non è più mantenuta), che sale da Piobbico verso la cima del monte Nerone. Arrivati presso la sommità, a circa 3km dal rifugio Corsini, si imbocca il sentiero e dopo circa 700m si è alla grotta. Si percepisce che si è in prossimità della grotta perchè la vegetazione cambia e la temperatura scende. Già all'imbocco della grotta, rispetto alla temperatura esterna, si può godere di un dolce refrigerio. L'ingresso è un po' basso, ma poi si apre una grande camera che si sviluppa in salita, dalla quale partono delle diramazioni. Consigliato avere una giacca e una torcia anche solo per esplorare la prima grande sala. Splendid cave on Mount Nerone. Arrived at the top, about 3km from the Corsini refuge, take the path and after about 700m you are at the cave. You feel that you are near the cave because the vegetation changes and the temperature drops. Already at the entrance of the cave, compared to the outside temperature, you can enjoy a sweet refreshment. The entrance is a little low, but then a large room opens up that extends uphill, from which branches start. It is recommended to have a jacket and a torch just to explore the first great room.
