It is a house with a historical presence, completely renovated and equipped with every type of comfort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. The owner, Dario, was not so easy to communicate with before arrival. He replied to my messages with delays, and when I called him the day before arrival, someone (probably his wife) picked up, "Pronto?.." and hung up after my 'Hello."
The reason must be their English, but why did they give/list this number?
Months before our arrival I asked him about an airport shuttle of taxi, and he replied that city taxi was 40 E but he could provide one for 20 E, but when I asked to confirm it days before our arrival, he changed the price to 40 E and then negotiated it to 30 E. I had to remind him every detail (number of people in our family, etc.) several times.
2. He left 2 L of milk for our first breakfast (family of 4)and said he would bring more milk and coffee for our next day breakfast but never did.
3. The stove worked, but the oven did not. The coffee machine acted out and did not make coffee every time.
4. The dish-washing sponges were old and black from prolonged use. How hard was it to put a new 50c sponge?
5. But the main "attraction" was his washroom/toilet.
The shower drain was extremely slow, and we had to shower standing knee-high in the overflowing drain water, and behind the glass door were his gross (mops and other plumbing tools and supplies).
6. The toilet clogged, and he did not even have a plunger to fix it, so my family of 4, incl. 2 women, did not have a toilet or normal shower for the 1-st night. Imagine yourself in this situation!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well I have to say, way under my expactations, the house was very dirty in general, especially bathroom, we letterly tried not to touch anything, such a shame though, but location is good, easy to reach Venice and the airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were four people willing to visit Venice and we found this pleasant home in Mestre which was very convenient for two couples as it was very well located, close to public transport and in an area where it was easy to park our hired vehicle.
There are stops and supermarkets there in case you want to buy something, it is very quiet and peaceful though: you will not hear a noise.
The beds are comfortable and the home is simple but clean. The breakfast is quite complete, it includes fresh fruits even but I would add that the juice bottles should have been properly closed... The toilet includes shampoo and geles and everything is complete and sufficient.
The kitchen also is working properly, there are some courtesies there as salt and oil, which is also useful if you only stay 2 nights as we did.
The owners are friendly and extremely kind, they really made us feel at home and were willing to help. It is for sure a place where we would come back. We recommend it in case you want to visit Venice or this area.
