A Grand Hotel in the true sense of the word. the premises are old style palatial....my taste. the reception was more than warm and friendly and obliging.The room was more than adequate. abundant hot water. cleanliness 5 star. High ceilings and large luxurious drapes. A feeling of being treated like Royalty. the dining room had a beautiful buffet. fresh fruit sald fresh local cheeses.No banana in the bowl a guest requested. 5 minutes later it had been sought and presented.If you like old comfortable hotels this is a darling.A winter visit.

β β β β β Surrounded by many historycal and archaeological spots, located in the center of the town, this hotel has a magnificent park and a beautiful and open sea view. The dining room is impressive with two giants chandeliers.

β β β β β Beautiful hotel, feels like a trip to the past. Common areas are beautiful, well maintained, historic.
Staff is super nice, helpful and professional.
The restaurant is worth a visit, mainly for the looks of it, there're better places to eat in town, especially if you want to enjoy local specialties or decent quantities.
Rooms are clean, functional, though (at least mine for sure) would thank for some maintenance. Not badly, but quite obviously.

β β β β β Restaurant: Extremely poor quality, bad service and not client oriented approach. :(
Overpriced, we waited for 30 minutes to get a tiny dish with hard bacon and sausages from supermarket - for 15 euros..
when I said itβs not up to standard, the waiter was just silent and left.
Total shame for the hotel.

β β β β β Hotel very far from citiy center and you have to walk in a very dirty area of the city to go to Ortigia.
bar closes at 10:00 pm and only one restaurant (kind of bakery - nice place!) no other bars/restraurants close by. so in hot summer not very nice, sitting outside in teh hotels terrace with nothing. we bought some beer is in a local store and filled the small fridge in the room - although it states that we are not allowed to do so ;-(
hotel has seen better times. nice from outside, rooms ok. staff very nice.
breakfast is not recommendable. everything in plastic - no water cups of glass ....
the pool is ok. but if you order a coffee or some water - it comes in plastic cups ...
so the pollution of sicily is reflected in that hotel.
