Loved our stay once again! The hotel does need some updating but the atmosphere is great! A big thanks to Veronica who made are days start with a friendly face at breakfast!

Well at first glance the hotel appears to be extremely fancy and ostentatious, more than a quick look reveals that much of the splendor is actually a very thin veneer. Access to all of the amenities that the hotel has to offer, like the spa, the pool, and the dining is actually very limited to the average guest. Whole sections of the hotel are just completely shut down. The breakers turned off, the heating and cooling systems shuttered, the hallways dusty and unkept. While it is a great place to stay if you just need a good nights rest and a comfortable bed, it’s not as fancy as it seems.

THE GOOD: The hotel was beautiful, it has a very glamorous decor, impressive chandeliers, seats with gold decals. Visually very impressive. Breakfast was passable, but the breakfast hall was kept clean constantly by vigilant staff. The staff were by far the best thing about this hotel, attentive, apologetic (you'll see why in a moment), helpful and understanding. They could speak both English and Italian which was perfect for when my Italian partner wasn't with me. There was free parking on-site, under the hotel which was helpful as it's on a busy road and not easy to get to by any other means and it kept the car out of the scorching heat (I booked in August). I had booked a suite, which was impressive in size, but the compliments about the room stop there. THE BAD: The location isn't great, its a good thing the hotel interior is so impressive because there is no view to speak of, especially disappointing if you've booked a room with a balcony. It's just off a busy road which, as I mentioned before, unless you have a car you're at the whims of very expensive taxi drivers, so forget about 'popping to the shops'. During our stay (two nights in total) the elevator was out of action, which when you have as many people coming as they did, caused long wait times due to social distancing. The breakfast was a buffet style which was passable, but not amazing, serviced by two overworked staff members, who were incredible but you would have to wait a while for example, if you were behind a family of 4 making a large order. The room was my biggest disappointment, let me preference this by saying I paid 400 a night for this. I could forgive most of the issues if I hadn't booked the suite, which we had found out hadn't been used (or looked after) for months prior to our arrival. A plug had been pulled off of the wall, when they were informed they opted to duct tape over it, with large brown tape until I told them it wasn't acceptable and they finally replaced the plug. There were no USB ports at all, which is surprising in 2021. The TV remote in the bedroom didn't work and was filthy. The designer Light in the room didn't work, and no one, including the staff could work out how to turn it on. There are two air conditioner units in the bedroom and the living room. The oldest unit is incredibly old and in need of changing, I personally have never had dry skin, but after getting there, it wrecked havoc on my face. The Jacuzzi spat black debris out when used. The second toilet didn't flush, and the lights didn't work. and several lights strobed when left on for too long. tl:dr Beautiful hotel, not worth the price. Opt for the cheapest room.

For a 4 star hotel having a massive breakfast spread with not even a vegan option it is quite ridiculous. Fails also to consider those with allergies to dairy for example. What more could you want than to pay to stay and have to go elsewhere to eat?

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 days. The front desk is very nice and attentive and the breakfast was good. We utilized their gym facilities and they were very comfortable. The air system in our room was horrible and it was very hot. Another disappointment was that I was missing an item from my room. We made a complaint to the front desk and they didn’t seem to assist, they only said they were sorry. We spoke with the cleaning crew and they also denied taking any items from our room. It’s unfortunate that this happened. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The last thing you need on your trip is someone stealing your belongings.

A solid 4star hotel in an off location. Well appointed, maintained facilities, superb lobby, nice personnel. Diverse assortment of breakfast food of good quality.

Nothing that bad to report but also not stand out for me. Staff were friendly and efficient, except for one guy serving the buffet at breakfast, who probably should have stayed in bed. My main issues was with the attention to detail. If you are going to have live plants, please water then so they don't dry up. Rooms were very hot and had to keep speaking to reception as they control from there. Christmas tree lights being fitted in the middle of December so scaffold up in the impressive lounge/bar area. I think this place could be great, and I would give it another shot but just didn't tick all the boxes on this occasion
